The Watcher from the Aether says... Hunter surveys the Bugbears. They each wear studded leather armor and carry spiked clubs. Despite being a touch over 7' tall, they seem to be surprisingly quiet and stealthy.
In response to this observation, Delgar remembers some texts that he'd read describing how effective Bugbear ambushes are due to their ability to move quietly.
In response to Hunter's request, the shamen responds, "I'm sorry, but me and my father have no spells that will make a weapon more effective." Then, almost as an afterthought, she adds, "Bugbears really don't need that kind of help… "

When they near the location Hunter will bravely ask the party to stay behind while he carefully checks it out using his special senses and sight. He peers into the cave.
