Jess checks the door for traps and locks and finds nothing. Backing away, she readies her bow so that she can cover Drethen as he opens the door.
Ready for anything, Drethen opens the door. Inside he finds a room that is lavishly furnished, with a thick black rug that stretches from wall to wall, a black and red sofa, three comfortable chairs, and several small end tables, which hold a variety of wines and sweetmeats (Candied fruits, nuts, and muffins). The red stone walls have been polished to a high shine. There is an actual fireplace with marble mantelpiece holding great scented candles, some red and some black.
"This place is styled for some dark high life. You know I've read about people with taste like this, sometimes they turn out to be vampires."
Hunter uses his danger sense, checks for light in the room (In case someone is there) and comments further, "We need to decide if its worth checking these rooms. Will they aide us in our mission or just cause to be attacked?"
Ardo looks at Drethen and says "I'll open the next door and you cover me. Well group lets step inside and close the door for a minute and make a brief plan going forward. Jess tell the bugbears to stay by the closed door while we search this room quickly for people hiding. I do not care about loot right now. "
After everyone gathers inside the room Ardo shuts the door and begins a quick search. While doing that he says to the group. "Remember this group will not give us any quarter when we meet them. If they are in here and not tied up or being tortured they are with this group. I am in no mood to talk and give them more time to marshall forces to kill us. If we run into trouble and have to retreat I suggest we run out the back door Jess opened for us last time and either book it to town or back to the Bug bears caves. Suggestions?"
Jonathon would grow very quiet, with a look deep thought as he considers the situation and tension in the air. He also though back to all they had already encountered and mused that these caves had quite the variaty. Why was there so much strange things within?
Shaking his head, he would sign before smiling. Speaking softly to his companions he would say, "The time to talk may well be past, yet if we are not careful this fight may be our last. Evil lurks and shadows pass over us, so if a fight is required let it be thus."
Hunter shakes his head at Jonathon's sentiment and sarcastically adds, "Yeah and don't touch anything… " he grins and then looks at Ardo waiting on him to open the door. "Which door exactly are you going to open?"
