Ardo realizing that he told his companions no quarter will be received or given and hearing the words uttered by the fighter steps back to allow Drethen and the Bug Bears some room to swing their weapons and starts tossing warhammers at the fighter.
Jonathon would consider the situation for the moment, planning what he will do while considering both the archer of the team as well the fighter attacking them. He would need to decide out he would attack and how, though for just the moment stay behind the others.
The arrows bounce off the fighter's shield and, any that happen to get past that, bounce harmlessly off of his black armor. The bugbears move into a defensive position in front of the party since they have nothing to offer as far as ranged weapons are concerned.
Delgar burns his one spell (Sleep), but it seems to have no effect on the fighter.
Seeing that the party is too cowardly to face him in hand-to-hand, he moves up and makes a vicious strike against one of the previously uninjured bugbears. The blow brings the bugbear to his knees, but he's still able to counter the attack, but to no effect.
The second bugbear in the front line roars out in rage at the fighter and returns a vicious attack of his own. You can see that the fighter was shaken by the creature's attack, but seems to be able to shake off the effects rather quickly.
Out of Character: Just to make sure I understand this… Drethen's attack with the long sword (23) didn't hit either? If that's true then we're doomed and need to get out of here fast!
Is it possible to aim for his unprotected area, his head for instance?
Drethen fired arrows as he did not approach the fighter. His arrow attacks missed. (See the battle map updated in the maps section)
You can do a called shot at -4 to hit in order to try to hit his head.
Out of Character : Did Hunters arrows at a roll of 22 miss also?
Ardo will try to heal the wounded bug bear and if he gets attacked starts swinging back.
