Hunter shouts out "We need to get this… " followed by many profane words and finally, "Down! Either move into the room and take him out or move back and close the door".
He knows its useless to shoot some more arrows at this point so he says, "Duck!"
Out of Character: If I'm shooting at a -1 then I will never be able to hit him so there is no point in rolling but at the same time if he is worry over so many attacks how will he know my arrows are coming?
Still putting my rolls in case.
Drethen swings his sword and makes solid contact with the fighter. You can see that the fighter felt the blow and took damage from it, even though he tries to maintain an attitude that it didn't phase him.
Ardo, unable to get a clear shot, heals the bugbear that was hit by the fighter.
Hunter is also unable to get a clear shot. But, the bugbears and Drethen take the fight to the man in the room so he'll be able to get clear shots next round.
The three bugbears each attack after surrounding the man. Having the advantage of having him surrounded, two are able to land solid strikes with their weapons.
The fighter is now unable to hide his discomfort from the damage he's taken, but will not give up. You can see the resolve in his face as he continues to attack. Not being satisfied that the bugbear he hit initially is still on his feet, he presses the attack on the same creature and seems to damage him for all of the healing that Ardo just gave him.
Ardo sees the fight taken into the room and if they combatants in the room fall he is the last person who can stop the enemy from reaching the spell casters. He steps into the doorway readying his weapon and if an opening occurs or a companion falls he will step into the breach and try to end the combat quickly.
In Character: Hunter is desperate to contribute to the fight but is unsure if his arrows will ever hit the target.
Out of Character: Not sure if the clear shot means I am still shooting at -1 or not. I just my normal roll please modify to suit.
Jonathon would draw his rapier, ready to attack if their was an opening without getting in the way of the others. Still with three bugbears each attacking the fighter this may be difficult. This, if he can get in an attack he will make it.
Drethen pushes the attack on the fighter. This time, however, he is unable to land a solid blow as the fighter deftly turns aside each attack.
The same result is had by the rest of the party as the fighter seems to realize that his situation is worse than he had initially thought.
In taking his defensive stance, the fighter is unable to strike back effectively missing what could have been an easy attack on one of the bugbears.
In the chaos, under Ardo's watchful eye, Ardo notices that the wound suffered by the bugbear continues to bleed. For some reason, the cut isn't closing and, if this continues, the bugbear will most certainly perish from blood loss.
Out of Character: : Hunter has +3 for point blank and now has -2 due to Jonathon joining the fray giving a total of +1. If he should decide to try a called shot it will give him an additional -4 to hit, but it will be on AC: 7. So, by my calculation, Hunter would need an 11 to hit.
