Hunter hadn't known Jonathon for very long so nothing was lost by his announced leaving, at least in his view, so he waves him off saying a mere, "Good luck".
Drethen looks to hunter. If I can have the long sword we took of the fighter you can have my long sword thus giving you a melee weapon too. Does that sound ok? Drethen waves bye to Jonathon, "Hope you best of luck in your future look us up if you are in the area again and we are still here."
The party makes it back to the keep without incident. When there, you are able to go to the merchant's guild to cash in the gems and have your magic items identified. Each magic item will cost you 100gp to identify.
Since Jess and Delgar are not expecting to receive any of the magic items, they wish to take their full share of the gold. The gems and the platinum together cashes out at 1,700 gp. Since Jonathon bailed, this leaves the 1,700 to be divided by 5 giving each member 340 gp.
In addition, each character receives 1,304 exp.
Both Jess and Delgar offer to stay on with your group if you want them. Jess is a little more willing now that she's had some success and feels a little more confident in her skills. Delgar, on the other hand, appears as if the stress of adventuring life is getting to him and may end up drinking his fortune away at the bar if not gainfully employed.
With that information in mind, who is going to take what, and how do you want to pay for the identify spells?
As a refresher, you have:
Black plate mail
Shield
Long Sword
Ring 1
Ring 2
1" tall figurine of a dog made out of onyx.
“Well gentlemen I am for pooling the left over funds between us 3. Paying to get the items identified, then dividing them up between the 3 of us then using what left over funds there are to equalize it as close as possible between us. Seeing that sword my guess is whomever between the two of you who gets it that, it is probably the most valuable item here. I do not want the other person to feel left out and not receiving a fair share. After getting the items identified there will be around 420 gold left to divide between us 3. Now for deciding whom gets the sword, my only thoughts are it needs to be on the front line swinging not in the back of the group so Hunter if you do get the sword you will be fighting from the front lines not shooting from the back are you ok with that? If Hunter you are fine with that whom gets the sword should be decided between you both, if Hunter you are not wanting to fight in the front of the party, I would like Drethen to get the sword.” After saying that Ardo picks up all the items and motions for the 2 of them to follow him to the place to get everything identified. “We can discuss this as we walk to the mages to get everything identified.”.
In Character: "I say we get all the items identified first and based on that we can decide if we sell, keep or distribute them. If any item is cursed we would not want it. We can use the immediate coin for the identification."

Yes lets get everything Identified. I say one person myself or Hunter get the armor and the other gets the sword. That way it is a fair trade. But if not useable by either of us we sale it and get the coin for it. But split it five ways as Delgar and Jess need to be part of this. That way they are both more likely to assist us in further adventure.

You take all of the items to the merchant's guild for identification. When you get to the guild, they demand the payment of 600 gp up front.
Once paid, they take your items into the back room. Only one of you is allowed to accompany the mage for security purposes.
After the mage does his thing, he tells you that you have:
Plate Mail +2
Shield +1
Long Sword of Wounding
Ring of Spell Turning
Ring of Sustenance
Figurine of Wondrous Power: Onyx Dog.
When Hunter hears what they now possess he is very happy. "This should be good… " he says but presses for more answers by asking the mages, "Are any of these items fused with an alignment or are they all neutral?" He also asks to explain what the sword, rings and figurine does.
