Gabriel shook his head, begore looking over at the others and asking, "Shall we continue?" The paladin seemed fine, just a bit distracted as of he had something on his mind.
Really,in his mind at least it was just a painting and he felt no charming effect placed upon him. He even says as much, with the words, "I'm fine. While the painting is… Intriguing, I don't believe it has the magic placed on it that all of you experienced before."
Leaving the items on the alter, the party heads north up the corridor. They come an area that has a door on the east wall and another door on the east wall about thirty feet north of the first one.
After that, the corridor takes a bend to the northeast and continues.
Hunter goes to the edge of the corridor on the side of the wall just before it bends and peers around to have a look while the others check at the doors.
Out of Character: Is there a roll for hearing something outside the range of a thief's skills?
Drethen will check out the first door to see if he can see which way it opens and if it has any sort of lock on it. He will listen at the door to see if he hears anything on the other side after placing his hand on it to make sure it is not hot or cold to the touch.
Hunter piers down the hallway and sees that after about forty feet, it turns back north.
Drethen, listening at the first door, finds that it is locked, but there's nothing else special about it. He also hears what sounds like somebody speaking in the room, but it's not any language that he's ever heard before. And, he can't hear clearly enough to determine if it's male, female, or both.
Drethen can deduce that from what he's hearing, there's likely to be only one or two people in the room, certainly not more than three.
Hunter relays what he saw and then says, "Either we keep going forward or break down the door and attack! But first, let me check this second door."
Hunter has a listen.
Keeping his voice low he moves closer to Jess. “Jess, can you look at the lock to see if you can pick it? Do not try to do it yet just inspect it. I will stand off to one side and if they open the door fall back and I will step in front to shield you from attack. Gentleman if Jess can pick that lock, we rush the group in there before they raise the alarm. I will cast silence first on this coin and toss it near them. That should keep the sound of our fight down and not raise an alarm. Anyone have any suggestions or hate this idea?”.

Hunter nods his head and whispers, "Good plan, but I would only cast the spell if you see them having time to do it because the surprise should take away all of that."
