The Watcher from the Aether says... Davik runs out of the 'lounge' and back down the steps to the 'dormitory' to review the books. He finds that the books are a mix of light reading (Love poetry, adventurer's lives), theology (Hymnals, books of prayers, catechisms), the Erishkigal/Nergal equivalent of saint's lives, and legends regarding various deities in the pantheon.
Based on a quick review, if any of them were valuable, they were probably taken by whoever cleared out the room to this extent.

The Watcher from the Aether says... The party heads down the hallway to where it turns to the right to find that it continues another forty feet with a side passage about twenty feet in.
Carefully approaching the side passage, the party finds that it heads down a set of stairs into the darkness.
