Davik backs up, his Longsword out already. "I do not like this, what strange sorceries permeate this place?" He then steels his mind against what is to come.
Hunter strains his eyes, with his vision he looks for movement as he says as quietly as possible, "They're here.... "
With everybody standing in the dark, a darkness so black that you feel you could cut it with your edged weapons, Ardo pulls out another one of his coins with Continual Light cast on it.
As he does so, all the candles in the hall magically light at the same time with a brilliant flash. The light is reflected off the walls, ceiling and floor and off the highly polished chandeliers and candelabra. The resulting light is so bright that everybody is completely blinded.
Your only saving grace is that you can tell that the blindness is magically induced. Ardo and Delgar feel that the effects your experiencing are similar to having a light spell cast on you. The only problem is that they can't determine how long this particular effect will last.
"Ah I can't see this blasted light what about the rest of you? We might have to get out of the area effect of this spell for it to wear off" trying to remember the room's description before he was blinded "We need to move as one group so no one gets left behind" delgar reaches out trying to find his companions.
"Good idea every try to get close so we can back up to the wall. Drat where is Ralph's figureine. I know it is in one of these pouches." Ardo fumbles around until he finds the onyx figurine. "Ralph my friend we have been blinded you will need to help us until we have regained our sight."
"What the hell is going on I can't see nothing!" Hunter closes his eyes trying to squint now and again to see if he can pickup anything. He attempts to reverse back from where he came.
