Davik continues firing arrows at the closest creature, hoping to end the fight quickly.
"Go back from whence you came, shadowspawn"
The wraith continues to battle with Drethen despite Drethen getting the jump on him. Drethen attacks with his sword and gets a solid hit on the creature, but his sword passes right through without causing as much as a wisp of smoke to be lost by the wraith.
Hunter has better luck as his sword hits the creature and as the creature shrieks in pain, you see some of the creature boil away. Ardo and Davik are not able to make contact on the creature as it swings back at Drethen but is unable to come close the crafty fighter.
Drethen realizes that he's fighting a losing battle as his plain sword continues to be ineffective against the monster. Hunter, too, misses the creature with his attack. Ardo is able to make contact as well as Davik with one of his arrows. In both cases the creature hisses in pain and mist boils off the apparition. The creature continues to attack Drethen, but thanks to his enchanted armor, the monster still is not able to get his claws on Drethen.
"Die you steam pot of smokeā¦ " says Hunter as he tries to swing with some gusto behind it.
Once again seeing the Ineffective attacks of normal weapons [Delgar] let's loose another volley of magical misses at the last wraith hoping they strike true.
Hunter and Delgar work together to cut down the remaining wraith. Hunter slices it with his sword while Delgar hits it with magic missiles. The combined attack leaves the wraith bubbling off into a mist that quickly dissipates leaving nothing to indicate that the two creatures ever even existed.
Davik stares directly at where the creature's eyes should be and says: "I said begone." As he fires off another arrow, aiming for where he thinks it's eyes are."
Hunter sighs, "I hope my arm didn't get tired for nothing… let's see what they left behind and why wraiths would want a bed together."
Out of Character: Hunter commits to a thorough search.
Out of Character: Point of reference to the Dungeon Master. I stated I was using the flail to attack with. The damage on a flail is 1d6+1 thus I rolled a d6 the sword is a d8. Sorry if that was misinterpreted.
