"Drethen and I are hurt and unless Hunter has drank some of his healing potions he is also not in good shape. I am all for going back outside and resting for awhile so we can recharge and come back."
Hearing his name mentioned Hunter shouts in, "I'm good, do not worry about me or my potions… " he says with a bit of sarcasm being protective of the potions he alone was willing to wait for. "I'm still waiting on you all out here… let's move on already."
"Well then, it would seem that we are going to rest for a bit before continuing on this quest," Gabriel says in consideration of the morningstar, looking to the intelligent weapon in his hand and praying to his god that he had not made a mistake in picking it up.
He will put it back into his pack for now saying simply, "We can talk more once camp is setup and I can have you identified." The paladin did not feel any different, so he had high hopes, but as his companions said he should be careful. Having it wrapped in a cloth Gabriel had hoped would have been enough, yet perhaps it was not, he had never dealt with a possibly cursed or intelligent item before.

After the party finally decides to camp outside, everybody heads back out to the foyer. You find the yard pretty much as you left it. The wall of fog continues to envelope the property and your mounts are still tied to the railing around the foyer.
Although you can't see the sun through the fog, you can determine its general location and, based on that, you can determine that it's about the middle of the afternoon.
So, not to throw another decision at the group, but you can either rest fo the eight hours required, or you can take more time and camp out till morning.
Hunter suggests that in a place like this day or night does not matter so it is better to rest and have the spell casters get their spells back. He awaits their agreement and offers the first watch.
"Once again I have to agree with Hunter, I need to recover my powers. I need a full 8 hours to rest as casting spells takes a hard toll on me.". While we rest delgar will take a closer look at the staff looking for any words or runes that could be a command word to activate it.
"I'm willing to take the first watch, since I am still mostly rested and I need not worry about spells," Gabriel would say, it being mostly true as he had only a couple available to him at this point.
That, and he wanted to set the morningstar down where he might study it without touching it. Get in consideration of this he would ask, "Is there a way I might study the weapon that was found and seems to be intelligent without actually being at risk of a curse if I am not already? I wish to see if anything seems familiar."
Out of Character: If this is a yes, maybe I can make a Religion or Intelligence check to see if he can remember anything?
