Out of Character: : I guess I will put it on and pray it was not cursed and Delgars indentifies worked and then pass off my +1 plate to Gabriel. "Guess no time for talking eh?" Ardo then proceeds to prepare for close combat.
Out of Character: My last post's damage rolls involved Superman's punches (D20) so I am putting proper damage rolls here (D6).
Delgar will magic missile the first one as it charges at the party and then move to the back to keep the fighters between him and them.
Davik retreats slightly and pulls his bow, shooting an arrow into the closest creature.
If those within the room turned out to be hostile, Davik hoped they wouldn't hear the racket their fight would inevitably make.
With Fuascailt drawn and at ready along with his shield raised, Gabriel says softly to the weapon, "Well know seems battle comes sooner then expected, let's see what we may accomplish."
Turning to his party and the strange humanoids with feline heads, Gabriel says, "If a fight must happen, I will be there for my companions." Still, the paladin considered a possible misunderstanding, as the items they were talking about might be the ones from the chest.

The cat men charge in like a pride of lions chasing down a herd of gazelle. The first one rushes in and swipes at Gabriel scratching him slightly with one of its claws (1hp). Drethen is quick to react and charges the cat men, meeting them as they enter the hallway taking out two of them before they get a chance to get fully in the room.
The second Rakasta to attack joins its first companion in attacking Gabriel, but isn't able to penetrate Gabriel's defenses. The third attacks Ardo, hitting him with one claw attack as well (3hp).
Davik quickly fires off two arrows. The first one flies wide but the second buries itself in the eye socket of the creature attacking Gabriel.
There's a huge flurry of claws and fur, but the end result is that Gabriel suffers one more scratch (1 more HP).
Gabriel attacks the nearest cat man and is able to take it down. Delgar is equally lucky in that his magic missile spell takes out another of the cat like attackers. Hunter returns to using his bow and is able to take out one of the weaker looking creatures while Ardo is to overwhelmed by the creatures to get an effective attack in the combat.
Drethen continues to battle and takes out another creature while Davik takes another one down with his bow.
Ultimately, the Rakasta don't seem to be as much of a challenge as you initially expected as the rest are relatively easily taken care of with the exception of Drethen taking one more hit (3hp).
Drethen will search the bodies and remove their weapons if any. Knowing that they came from the room with the boxing ting and attacked them he will open the door and look inside to see who if anyone remains inside. HE is none too happy with all this attacking but he is wanting it to end so they can continue on their journey and make it to the next town.
