Gabriel goes to attack the last tree, wanting to make sure they get out of there before it is too late. The heat of the flames could be felt in the wind and smoke was already starting to grow, but he wanted to leave with all of his companions.
Drethen quickly finishes off the last tree as the fire rages behind him. The vegetation isn't completely dry, but that doesn't seem to be stopping the fire from gathering strength. You can feel the heat of the flames nipping at your back as you attempt to get away.
"Well lets hope not," Gabriel says, before explaining his thoughts as he continues, "Unless it means we are allowed to escape. We do not want to find ourselves trapped in a burning house."
He was glad they were able to escape the trees and fire, but worried of the repercussions. If it did not burn the mansion down, it may still bring trouble.
Voicing his concerns he says, "I hope this does not bring the wraith of any who may have had a fondness for the garden." Someone had to have taken the time to create it, was the paladin's consideration.
The party makes it out of the indoor forest before the smoke and acrid smell become too much for them to deal with.
Once in the grand hallway, they have a chance to catch their breath and take stock of their situation.
After a brief moment of contemplation, they check the progress of the fire in the forest and realize that it is quickly dying down and is almost completely out. Then, before their eyes, the forest begins to re-grow. Even before they have time to react, the forest is halfway back to what it was before Davik set it all on fire.
