Hunter exclaims while pointing at what the squirrles are doing, "See there gentlemen, that is a trap, do not be greedy now." He continues passed what they are doing but keeps an eye on them to make sure they do not get close. If they do he will shoot some arrows.
Gabriel was glad that they left the fountain alone, the chest was unneeded and carried too much risk. The paladin had no interest in finding out what was in the chest nor possibly having to fought something made of stone.
The squirrels on the other hand left him curious, and as they walk by he asks, "How would one go about making such a small amber creature turn whatever they touch to gold?" He also noted something else continuing, "And why is it only the acorns? The tree and the ground they walk on is unaffected."
As the party passes the squirrels, the squirrels do their best to ignore and hide from the party. Despite their color and their ability to turn acorns into gold, they seem and act much like any other squirrels.
A little further along the trial, a wide path opens up to the north, leading to a large set of double doors. These doors appear to lead into the north wing of the mansion.
Ardo looks at the building. "I do hope this is the Library that lady was talking about. Everyone be on guard as I am sure this place will not accept us with open arms."
The paladin prepares himself for possible trouble, with Gabriel raising his shield and with morningstar in hand before saying, "I am ready." A big part of him really hope that by the end of all this they be able to have an explanation of exactly what the mansion is and how it works.
Hunter listens to Drethren, puzzled by his words he says, "I really do not have an idea where we came from nor where we are going." Hunter moves forward towards the door but does not touch it. He calls for thief, "Where is our professional door checker? Is he sleeping again?"
