"I am for leaving his room as soon as possible gentleman and trying to either follow this Lady or journeying to find the library."
Inspecting the alter indicates that it was not dedicated to any particular god. But, because it was the family chapel, it's there to serve whoever is in the chapel worshiping that day. Based on its generality, you assume that each member of the Amber family worships their own god or at least there is no 'family' god.
Hunter's additional inspection of the crypt reveals nothing. There is nothing left in the tomb. It would appear that when Madeline was buried, she was dressed as she is now and her sword was laid on top of her in the traditional burial posture of a warrior.
Although Madeline doesn't know for sure where her brother Charles is, she assumes he's staying in a room to the north east. That seems to be the part of the mansion that he had claimed for his own before her episode.
Hunter says, "Wait… you know the layout of this place and can answer some questions about it, yes?"
He then asks her about the most troubling parts of the house like the forest that attacks, the man in the boxing ring, the girl and the Pegasus, the room where ghosts bring food, etc.
After that he will insist that she leads on to her brothers.
"Perhaps after we get the Lady reunited with her family," Gabriel suggested in consideration looking to Madeline for confirmation, "And she has had time to recover we could call upon her as a guide?" It was a gamble, especially since either she nor her family may wish to help.
Still, knowing his companions would at least like to know the direction of the library the paladin adds, "Though there is still one place you could perhaps direct us if it isn't too much trouble." He would explain to her their wish to escape and what they hop to find a way out.
In response to Hunter's questions, Madeline says, "I did mention that this house was put in this position due to the unbridled use of magic, didn't I?" Despite her sarcastic response she picks up her sword and starts heading towards the north eastern door.
"The forest tends to get a little unruly to anybody not of the Amber bloodline and I'm sure any other visitors you ran into are just trapped here, just like you. The dining room became that way when the mansion was trapped in this, well, whatever it is."
"The boxing match sounds like my cousin. After decades in this place that's the one thing he finds entertaining. As far as escape is concerned, my family stopped trying to find a way out decades ago. But, you are more than welcome to try."
She enters the north eastern door which opens into a 60' hallway that turns west at the opposite end. She continues to march down the hallway, making a brisk left handed turn at the end.
She approaches the first door on the left and as she opens the door she mutters, "You'd better not be in here you sonofab… "
Throwing the door open, you hear a voice softly call:
“Please be quiet. I can’t stand loud noises!” At that Madeline goes into a rage yelling, "WHY DID YOU BURY ME ALIVE?" At this point, she pulls out her sword and charges her brother.
