Hunter looks at Drethren with amazement considering that his question is said in a manner that would make him think he was simply asking for the price of bread at the local bakery. Hunter keeps ready but does not actually do anything, not yet.
The man looks down at Drethen. He pushes the pommel of the two handed sword towards him leaning on its tip.
He raises his eyebrows and says, "Any sword can try but don't you think it's more the measure of the man?"
Hunter whispers, "I think this man remembers dying before otherwise how would he know what kills him or even volunteers the information?"
"What if we try and fail to cut off your head," Gabriel ask, getting a faint recollection of a story he'd once heard of one in green who challenged others to cut off his head though understanding it might be a silly thought.
The large man responds to both Hunter and Gabriel, "I would help you out more, but you are obviously adventurer types. I don't want to spoil your sense of discovery and adventure." A small grin creeps across his lips.
Hunter says, "Well, you seem like a nice guy and all but I need to get to that door and if you try to stop me I will put some arrows in you." This is Hunter's way of initiating combat rather than asking for biscuits and tea to continue the conversation.
Drethen pulls out his sword and readies his shield. "I dislike the fact that we have to kill you to move on but I think we are at a stalemate. Therefor I would take you p on your offer to kill you and then we will see about the head cutting later."
Out of Character: He does not want to kill this man but if we want to move on we may need to so the curse can be removed from him and he can be free again.
Seeing the battle begin, Ardo steps forth to also attack this giant and end the combat quickly.
