Satisfied that he won't be trapped for all eternity by entering this dark room Hunter descends the ladder and stays watchful.
Gabriel had been relieved but the drive did not rise up again, though his heart is also heavy that he had to die for them to get through. Still, the deed was done so they all move forward.
The trapdoor was surprising find admittedly, and the paladin would allow the others to go down first as he guards rear saying, "Let us stay vigilant my friends."
Once they were all down, he asks, "Should I wait above, to make sure no one bothers us, or come down with you?" Gabriel considered the thought that once they were all below, someone could come by above.
Drethen opens the door and finds a well lit, if not mostly bare, room. There are wall sconces along the walls in the room that appear to have Continual Light spells cast on them.
A large square grid has been painted on the floor in the middle of the room. The grid is five 10’ x 10 squares long and wide, a total of 25 squares. A huge capital letter has been painted in the middle of each square. There is a door on the other side of the room, but to reach it you must step on several of the painted squares.
Hunter sees the spectacle, folds his arms and says, "Who likes dangerous puzzles?" He already knows he will not be making any sudden moves as he just stands there looking at the letters.
Out of Character: Check Falrun's map, they are names I think.
"Seems the spell the same five words or names. Gohen. Orare, Hazah, Eraro, and Nehog with Gohen and Nehog being the reverse. Orare and Eraro being the reverse and Hazah spelt the same forwards or backwards. I will cast a spell to find traps."
Out of character: Doing a roll for knowledge of those names.
