Ardo makes it back to the tavern and sits down next to Drethen. "Drethen, how is the ale? I went and purchased a map of the area so we will not have to flounder about and hope we are heading in the right direction. Have you learned anything?"
Gabriel joins Hunter just in time to see the secratery roll his eyes and ask, "What is this item that you supposedly have? I'll ask his eminence if it interests him."
Ardo joins Drethen in the tavern but Drethen has heard nothing of particular interest from the gossip in the tavern.
"I have not heard anything to help us. I think we should go out and see what else we can find about the area and this city." Drethen stands up and heads out of the tavern. He will seek out any information about a sage or wise man.

Ardo decides it is best to stick with Drethen in finding a sage or wise person with knowledge of the names and possibly what areas they might live in.
Hunter says, "What? You want me to show this to a mere mortal, someone who is an underling to the great eminence so you can go around claiming to know about this power? No thanks, I will keep this for his holiness."
Deciding to step in, Gabriel will say, "Please, we mean no harm to his Eminence. We will be more than willing to be checked for weapons and leave them behind as we go to speak with him to prove no ill intent." To add weight to his words, the paladin will be the first to give up his main weapon, that of the morningstar, and offer it to the secretary.

Drethen and Ardo head out on the town. Looking for an opportunity to gather information on the area, they come across the town hall. Inside they can find the Town Crier, who most likely knows everything that's going on in the area as well as the people in it. And, they also find the local merchant's guild.
Back at the Bishop's office, the secretary listens to both Hunter and Gabriel. Rolling his eyes once again and making a deeply annoyed sigh, he says, "Wait here for a minute." He then gets up and goes through a large oak door behind him.
After about fifteen or twenty minutes of waiting, the man returns through the door with a rather surprised look on his face. He say's to Hunter and Gabriel, "The Bishop will see you now. I'm not sure why, but he's agreed to hear you out."
He then turns and leads Hunter and Gabriel through the large oaken door that he just returned from and guides you into a large, well furnished office. The room is lined with bookshelves with a wide variety of books lining the room. On the far side of the room there's a large oak desk with an older man sitting behind it. He eyes Hunter and Gabriel as they enter looking them up and down. He rises from his chair and gestures at two over stuffed chairs offering Hunter and Gabriel a seat. He then looks at his secretary and says, "You can leave. If we need anything, we'll call."
They give each other a curt smile and bow and the secretary makes his way back out of the room. After the man leaves, the Bishop returns to his desk, sits down, and stares at Hunter and Gabriel with the look of a man who is trying to see into your soul.
After a short moment of silence, he speaks up and asks, "What can I do for you gentlemen?"
Ardo approaches the Town crier. “Good Sir, we are fortune seekers who are following old wives tales for ancient valuable items. We really don’t believe in the power of the items but more in the fact that they must be worth something as jewelery or the gold and gems alone should be worth while to find. The tales that were spun to us as kids were of a mirror where a viper circled the glass and a piece of jewelery called The Ring of Eibon. From the tales we have heard we think some people named Gaspard du Nord and Luc Le Chaudronnier might be able to direct us in the right direction. Would you know anything about these gentleman and where we could find them?”.
