Drethen lets her go when it is clear she does not wish to join him. Seeing the guard stand up Drethen stand up to. As the guy comes towards him Drethen looks at the guard and simply says, "Let me buy you a ale as I was not aware of her being spoken for. I am sure that the inn keep here does not want his place damaged."
Out of Character: Drethen will buy him a ale but if the guy wants to fight Drethen will not back down.
Ardo walks around for a bit in town trying to figure out how to find out about the people on the letter. Realizing asking about the items is no longer a wise option he wonders if there is a sage in town. Once some time has passed he starts to head back to the tavern intending to tell Drethen he plans to move away from that one just in case someone remembers seeing them and tells the town crier.
Out of Character: Is the Bishop dead or still alive? If still alive he will finish him off, if dead then I will put another action but I need to confirm this first.
"Hunter, you have done enough stepped away from the Bishop," Gabriel says trying to get between his friend and the man he was trying to attack, wishing that he'd have been able to react sooner. Will be asked if he will try to grapple and calm Hunter, pull him away, saying, "Please you've already made things more difficult than they need to be. Attacking him, what were you thinking??!"
Out of Character: Well that could have gone a lot better, though it could have also been a lot worse if Gabriel had decided not to come with Hunter. Sighs.

Out of Character: The Bishop appears in fazed. He continues to sit in the chair with your sword protruding from his chest. But, there is no blood and there doesn't appear to be a wound anywhere on the man.
He continues to stare at you with a smile creeping across his lips.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, the burly man continues to yell at Drethen for another minute or two before calming down and heading back to the bar with a huff.
Hunter, takes out the sword and with him sitting there swings it to take off his head instead. "He's not human! There is no blood, don't just stand their Gabriel either search this place now or go gray to your gods but get out of my way!"
"Whether or not that is true doesn't make a difference, he has still managed to reach one of the highest positions of power in the land so I'm telling you to stand down," Gabriel says, his tone raising, thinking that he may be able to get the Bishop to show leniency if he were just get Hunter to stop attacking.
He will actually be starting to use greater force, wishing Hunter didn't have to force this but not wanting this to go any farther. Gabriel will say, "I'm sorry my friend, but you forced my hand." If the Paladin was able to get him to stop, maybe they could both get out of this alive.
Out of Character: I'm not exactly sure what roles I need to make, so I'll make a Strength check.
Also, I'm not doing this so much for Lawful side of his alignment. I'm doing this because even if the Bishop was evil incarnate you don't just attack someone else with one of the highest positions of power in the land without thinking of the consequences.

Hunter's sword passes harmlessly through the man's neck. Just as Gabriel attempts to engage Hunter, the doors to the room burst open and a contingent of the churches guards stand at the ready. Just as the open the door, the image of the Bishop dissappears.
