Out of Character: : Wait, how am I metagaming? Also, what is this about a man in prison and how does the Bishop have anything to do with this? Even then, was Hunter really going in without a plan and his temper flared thinking he could assassinate such a powerful figure?
Sighs, I guess that I should have done more then simply have Gabriel follow Hunter but ask what he had planned when meeting with the Bishop because the cleric very much feels his friend is acting irrationally and without regard for reason or his own life. He should have realized his actions would have led him nowhere but in trouble.
Of any case, Hunter has put the two in a right sticky situation with the one chance they had to escape lost because of not fleeing when he had the chance. I don't see how they are getting out of this alive or at least without being imprisoned.

Out of Character: : Hunter: you are correct. No rolls, no action.
Gabriel: Hunter was following some clues which, I was a little impressed that he picked up on and followed, all the way up to not accepting one of the items that you all need (The potion of time travel) and screwing everything up.
If Gabriel didn't pick up on those clues, than you'll have to either play along with Hunter or not. It's up to you. But, going Out of Character: and questioning his character's actions could be considered meta-gaming. Gabriel finds himself in a situation and should respond accordingly. It really doesn't matter why Hunter is acting the way he is.
In Character: Hunter and Gabriel are subdued and relieved of all of their belongings. Their equipment is put into a large sack as they are escorted down to the dungeon level and locked in separate cells after giving up anything that remained on their persons down to their skivvies. They are bound and gagged as they are under suspicion of magic use. Their items are all put into a nearby chest that is being watched by the jailer.
Ardo and Drethen hear that two would be magic using assassins have been apprehended before they could assassinate the new Bishop and that a public trial will be held in the morning.
After a little bit realizing Gabriel and Hunter have not returned to the tavern starts to see if he can get a description of the would be assassins.
Out of character: Will be posting in character creation thread various scenarios.
Drethen shakes his head when their two companions fail to return. Getting a room in a separate tavern than they were in before seem like a good idea now. He will sit at a back table with his back to the wall and watch those as they come in and out while he slowly drinks a few ales. He will listen to the latest gossip.
Ardo makes sure no one is listening. "So Drethen, I have 2 maybe 3 plans if the need arises though nothing can be accomplished with speed. Later tonight in our room I will go over them." After listening with Drethen if any guards come into the tavern to drink Ardo will purchase them a round of drinks for the great work they did in keeping the Bishop safe from those evil doers. He will not try to engaged them in any conversation other than saying "Job well done!"
Once back to the room for the evening he explains his 2 possible plans to Drethen of using darkness and shape stone spells to break them out of the cells if they are located against walls. If the cells are below ground of using charm person spells to get the guards on our side and smuggling them out of the jail.
In preparing to sleep for the night Ardo casts Wyvern watch inside the room right by the door as another layer of protection.

Gabriel with quietly fume, unable to do anything at the moment after having been imprisoned.
Out of Character: Wait, nevermind what I posted before. They were both gagged so Gabriel can't talk and Hunter can't reply to his inquiries. What I had posted originally will have to wait. I will come up with something else instead, my apologizes. I'll just have to continue saving the post for now.

Ardo and Drethen spend the rest of the evening in the tavern. There is a quite an uproar about the attempted assassination and, as the evening rolls on and the drinks flow freely, the stories get bigger and more outrageous as to what happened.
Eventually, Ardo and Drethen have heard all that there is to hear and head off to bed for the evening.
Hunter awakes lying in a field just outside of town. The grass is wet with dew as the moisture slowly soaks into his clothes. He looks up and sees the Bishop standing over him as the sun just starts to break over the horizon.
The man says to him, "I don't need this complication right now. If I kill you, there will be questions. If you go on trial, there will be questions. Instead, everybody will now think that you and your friend there" he points over to the prone body of Gabriel as he's still sleeping "Used magic to break out of the prison."
He makes a quick motion over to a sack laying in between the two and continues, "There's your stuff." Looking around he adds, "I'd guess you'll have till noon to get out of town before the entire watch is alerted to your escape. And, I wouldn't stay too long in any one place as I'm sure a good witch hunt will be quick on your tails… "
He then steps back and disappears. After a moment, Gabriel stirs and awakes. After another moment, you're able to get out of your bonds. Inside the large bag you're able to find all of your possessions, including the potion of time travel.
Drethen listens to Ardo. "I say we wait til morning and then walk towards the jail but not get too close. From there maybe we can see or hear more of what is going on. They did say something about a trail. Maybe a opportunity will present itself." Drethen lays down to get a good night of sleep. "Besides we do not want to try something when we are tired."
