Out of Character: Ah, so that explains it.
Still, out characters don't know this and already Gabriel has been believing that something was up during their journey. Like pieces being put into place to help them along. Perhaps he's just getting paranoid though, chuckles.

Drethen sees that all of it is no longer living so he heads back towards where the others are gathered. "Ok that went quicker than I thought. Ardo are you ok? I know you took a great hit. Heal yourself so we can head back and collect our reward and hopefully find a way back so we can get to the final part so we can escape this damned house."
Ardo feels devastated from the hit but realizes that at least the undead construct is dead. He takes out his staff of healing and uses a cure wounds charge. "I will be fine as long as we do not run into any more fights this day. Tomorrow I will be able to fully cure myself. Let us head back to the city and get that mirror. Remember no mention of magic while we are in the city please."
The party takes another three days to get back to town. In that time, news seems to have traveled fast.
The party returns to the city with the crowds already cheering them. They are quickly escorted to the Archbishop's office where he graciously turns over the 10,000 gp as promised and the brown and green robed man is there as well, with the mirror, also as promised.
It was a relief to actually see others appreciative of their efforts, though the cheers were not something Gabriel was used to. Hopefully they'd be able to leave with such fanfare and not under duress.
"Thank you, we are just glad that we were able to slay the colossus and that the city is unharmed," Gabriel will say with a respectful bow, now with the Sword of Sylaire at one hip and Fuascailt on the other. The reason for the latter is because no one asked for it, so the paladin kept hold of it for now.

Hunter takes in all the celebrations but is not loose on his guard. He says to the party at an opportune time, "So this is split four ways?" referring to the gold. He asks, "Do we need anything else or can we leave this wretched place?"
On the way back to town Ardo spends a day memorizing heal spells to bring himself up to full health. "Sure Hunter we split the gold 4 ways. Shall we get a private room to rent and review everything or should we leave the city and camp outside and review everything so it is much safer away from prying eyes?"
Out of character: Falrun do you want to hand out some experience points now so maybe some people can level up before the next step in this story?"
