The Arcane says... Ardo takes a few minutes to prepare for the coming fight with Mister Five Heads. He searches from some berries in his back pack and casts a simple spell on them he then hands them over to Drethen. “Drethen use these berries if you are wounded and about to die it will bring back a small amount of your health.” Returning to his back pack he brings out Ralph’s figurine and summons him to the realm. He removes the snake staff from his belongings and summons the snake to his side. He then moves closer to the door. “Gentleman, I will now cast 2 spells, one a prayer to the Mighty Blerred to help us fight and another to summon an insect horde to try and distract the beast for a few moments so the first person through the door is not beset by the beast. Once I have sent the insect horde through the door feel free to enter the room.” With that Ardo brings forth his Holy Symbol “Oh Forgefather Blerred, my your wisdom guide our group in the conflict we are about to enter.” Ardo then proceeds to call forth an insect horde once complete he motions for Drethen to open the door so he can send it forth at the beast. "Ralph and snake come join me in this fight, time to defeat this creature."
Out of character: Prayer gives everyone a +1 to hit and a +1 to damage. Goodberries heal 1 point of damage each. Summon insects does 4 points of damage a round and decreases AC by 2 unless it tries to evade then it only does 2 damage a round.
Ardo Results:
- Init on D20 (+0): 13 (1 roll)
- Goodberries on D4 (+0): 4, 4 (2 rolls)
- Close combat attacks on D20 (+2): 10, 9 (2 rolls)
- Damage on D6 (+3): 8, 4 (2 rolls)

RPG Dragons and Dungeons Edition nd Falruns
Drethen opens the door and allows the insect horde to fly through before he steps through to attack the beast. He will attack the first head that he comes to in an attempt to kill it. He will have his sword out and shield ready.
Out of Character: Added the Bless +1 to hit and +1 damage to my rolls.

The Dawn Seeker says...Gabriel will prepare to attack as well, once Drethen had opened the door and walked through, drawing Fuascailt and moving to step through himself.
Gabriel Results:
- Initiative on D20 (+0): 2 (1 roll)
- Attack (Fuascailt) on D20 (+2): 21, 15 (2 rolls)
- Damage (Fuascailt) on D4 (+2): 4, 5, 3, 4 (4 rolls)

The Watcher from the Aether says... Once everybody is ready, Drethen opens the door for Ardo to cast his spell. Once complete, the party charges the creature as it deals with the insects that now swarm all around it.
It snaps and bites at the insects giving the party the opportunity to strike before it has a chance to react. Gabriel strikes with Fuascailt causing the creature to react to the magical weapon. Hunter takes two shots with his bow. The first arrow misses but the second arrow strikes the creature as it flinched into its path.
Finally, Drethen finishes off the creature with two mighty strikes from his sword.
It's over quickly and as the hydra never had the opportunity to respond to the party's attacks.

Elf Bowman says... Hunter shakes his head and looks at Drethen, "You know… next time you can just use that sword and save us all a lot of trouble. I could probably take a nap while you do all the work."
He chuckles some and also makes a search of the room.

The Watcher from the Aether says...After thoroughly searching the room, the party finds nothing of value. Besides the door the party entered through on the west wall, there's also doors on the east and north walls.

Elf Bowman says..."I will go check that door on the north wall." Hunter does the usual, listen and pry open slowly with bow in hand.
