Gabriel is uncertain about burning the tapestry, yet is that is what needs to be done to get out of this she will wait at act. Still, the paladin readies himself for trouble or danger as he says softly, "Fuascailt my friend, can you sense any auras or sources of magic?"
Hunter knows this situation is ticklish and says, "I'm not the one with the all powerful sword… "so he backs off a bit and makes a search of the room.
Gabriel focuses on Fuascailt to get a read of the room and to determine if there's any magic at play. He's able to detect that the entire structure, along with everything in it, has an aura of magic.
Hunter's search of the room turns up little else. There isn't anything else in the room to search and the floors, walls, and ceiling appear to be made of a single sheet of stone leaving no place for secret doors to leave clues of their presence.
Drethen and Ardo set about burning the tapestry. As they do, the tapestry quickly burns with all of its ashes turning into sparkly material that drifts up and quickly disappears. A man dressed in rich velvet robes and wearing a golden crown and other fine jewelry suddenly appears, stepping out of the smoke and ashes. He stretches and says, “Thanks, I’ve been trapped in there for ages.” The tomb disappears and the party is back outside Castle Amber. The gray mist has disappeared and the party can see the river they had been following at the start. They are back in their world. The castle was frozen in time as a result of Stephen’s curse. Now that the curse is broken, the lost ages catch up with the castle in minutes. The walls grow pitted and crumble into ruins. Tapestries molder into dust. The inhabitants of Castle Amber age rapidly and die, ending as mummified skeletons. The only things left intact in the ruins are the party members, the treasure they won and Stephen Amber.
Gabriel feels the number of emotions pass through him. That of surprise, confusion, relief, uncertainty, and even suspicion, before asking the man who appeared, "So its over, no more games, no more surprises, no more fighting? We are free of the castle, its curse, and the dangers within? No tricks?" The paladin kept hold of the Morningstar in his grip, not yet letting his guard down.
Specific Action: Gabriel with seek to cast detect evil, focusing on the richly dressed man who appeared before them. Again, still being on edge because of everything had happened.

Drethen will keep his sword and shield at the ready to see what this guy is going to do. He knows that this trial with the Amber's has been trying and he is glad that it is over now. Now it is up the this Stephen Amber to leave peacefully or not.
"So you are related to those insane pricks? I have to ask if we are about to fight because many of your relatives tried to kill us."
Hunter quickly finds that there's nothing left of mansion. And, if there were, it's buried under all of the stone and rubble of the mansion itself.
Gabriel casts his spell and finds nothing overtly evil about Stephen Amber.
To the rest of the party's requests, Stephen laughs and says, "I'm sorry for the behavior of my relatives. They were locked in that mansion as long as I was locked in that tapestry. And, by the looks of the remains, was a rather long time."
After a moment of thought he continues, "I suppose I should reward you for freeing me… "He pulls out four pieces of jewelry and hands each of you one. A quick look tells you that each piece is worth about 10,000 gp.
"Now to make up for the abuse that you received at the hands of my family… "With that, he pulls out two Pearls of Wisdom and gives them to Ardo (They will stack). He gives a Rope of Climbing to Hunter and a Decanter of Endless Water to Drethen. And finally, to Gabriel, he gives a set of Gauntlets of Ogre Power.
He also identifies the items that the party discovered in his tomb (Listed below).
"Now, is there anything else?" he asks as he appears to be ready to be on his way.
Out of Character: The party collects 22,118 experience per person
The items from the tomb are:
- Long Sword +1, +2 verses magic users, detects invisible and detects traps
- Potion of Clairaudiance
- Potion of Invisibility.
