"The maps will do, thank you," Gabriel will say in an appreciative tone, before studying them to see if there was any placed that he recognized or could use as a marker. Admittedly it was possible they were all in a land none of them knew, or at least in any detail though the paladin hoped not.
Out of Character: Can I make some sort of roll, to see if Gabriel might know or recognize anything?

Aman turns down Drethen's offer to purchase the party's equipment saying that he wouldn't have a need for most of what you have and the rare item that he'd be interested in, he wouldn't be able to afford.
In response to Jherek, he says, "I haven't uncovered any writings indicating any guardians or traps, but after 1000 years, there's no telling what might have happened to the tomb. You could run into just about anything."
As for location, Drethen, Ardo, and Gabriel would have no possibility of knowing where they are since this is on the west side of the Hell-furnace mountains. Jherek and Hafer would know since Jherek traveled here conventionally and Hafer is from this area.
Jherek sighs, of course none of these human cultures would be remembered. He could recount stories of the old kingdoms from before the rise of men… Hell he thinks he remembers an uncle nearly 800 years old. The shortsightedness of the lesser peoples of Oerth always astounded him. Then again 1000 years was nearly 20 human generations… he smiles and looks at his new companions. Seeing a frown of consternation form on Gabriel's face, he decides to act… he was the new face here. He needs to earn his keep.
Jherek steps forward towards Gabriel, extending his right arm and gesturing to the maps. "I could point out a few things I remember from my journey here. There are several landmarks we may need to utilize or find interesting."
'Sounds fine to me to try and attempt this quest. I will take your leave now and go provision our selves for this journey. I think though I will sleep here this evening.'
The paladin will offer Jherek a nod, thankful for the help. Gabriel will try to explain to him and Hafer where he came from, details of major events, as well of thr cities and nations that he knew of, to see if they recognized anything.

As Jherek and Gabriel discuss the current situation in the world, Gabriel comes to the conclusion that very little, if any, time passed in Greyhawk while they were trapped in Castle Amber.
As the party leaves Aman's house, they step out on the main boulevard.
The town is dominated by a broad east-west road, paved with white marble. It is 60 feet wide and is bordered with sidewalks 12 feet wide. The roadway center is slightly higher than the edges, and there are 1-foottall curbs that separate the road from the sidewalks.
Along this boulevard lie the estates of the important villagers, if their size is any indication. Each is surrounded by a wall of decorative brickwork, a visual barrier more than a protective one. Behind the walls stand trees and shrubs, and the tinkle of fountains may be heard.
Between the estates, here and there run narrow alleys, connecting the boulevard to the less-magnificent structures of the city. Chief among these is the road centered on the south, which acts as the bazaar.
At the eastern end of the boulevard, the main routes out of Bralizzar may be found passing before the huge administrative building.
Heading up to the bazaar, the party is able to find any normal supplies for the regular price as presented in the PHB.
Ardo goes to the market. Keeping a keen eye on his purse he proceeds to try and purchase provisions for either a trip to the to find this tomb, or a trip to back home. Realizing that he does not skimp on purchase and proceeds to spend almost 1500 gold during the day. He leaves few questions with the merchants inquiring of any maps of the surrounding area he would pay gold for them just to hold them till tomorrow and he would come by. Ardo inquires if there is any merchants that sell Guard Dogs and if so he would purchase 2 of them and also 2 camels and pick them up the next day. If any merchant has any books on the history of the area Ardo would also purchase them.
