Rethal leads the party into a relatively large room. You enter through a southern passageway into a room that is approximately 40' long by 20' wide. There are two passages that lead to the south, including the one on the eastern side of the room through which you entered, and there is a passage that leads to the west.
The secret door that Rethal and Oberon know exists is closed, hiding its immediate location.
There does not appear to be any creatures in this area, in fact, it seems to be as deathly quiet as the rest of the cave.
Delgar looks around and stares at the wall where Rethal says there is a door "So you were serious about there being a troll how are we going to kill a troll those zombies almost killed us" Starting to tremble because he fears the answer that they are really here to kill a troll "Perhaps we should look around a little more and see what is lurking in these caves before we engage your troll"
“Are we really here to fight a troll? Hell my grandpa used to scare me of his stories of hitting one with a hammer over and over, the thing still got up and chewed up the farmers defending the flocks. Do we know how to kill a troll?”
Thane is surprised by the whining of some members of the party. He says with a pinch of sarcasm,
"Right, so besides the babies among us that fear this shall I listen to see what I hear?"
Out of Character: I am rolling for traps and secret doors in case the mechanism has changed since the last party was here.
"Fire kills trolls that is why we went back to the stronghold was to get oil so we can burn the troll to kill it. Yes there really is a troll but I would want to either kill it now rather than have it sneak up behind us if we leave it in there", points to the secret door area.
"Awesome, do we have some more fire wood also maybe we can build a small fire pit in a corner and force him back into it during the fight or at least the people firing missile weapons can have a place to fire behind or maybe use the fire to ignite there arrows?" Ardo looks around for a suitable area to maybe start a fire if needed.
As the party discusses their course of action, Delgar and Thane notice a couple of goblins have entered the opening to the room that the party entered through.
As soon as the goblins see you all, they let out a loud cry. Anybody speaking goblin can tell, and almost anybody who can't, can tell that they are yelling an alarm.
Before you really have time to react, the secret door that Rethal had been telling you about, reveals itself as it opens, seemingly on its own. However, once it's open, you can tell that it didn't open on its own but rather by the power of the troll on the other side of the door.
