Ilthin cranks back his crossbow and sets a quarrel. He knows he is not a quiet as Thane so he slowly moves up, ready to fire, draw his sword and charge.
Ardo readies his warhammers for throwing, takes one final look behind him to make sure no one is sneaking up through the other passages and gets ready to fight.
As you move forward, you find a room that is better lit and less hazy than the corridors that you've been moving through. In this room there are four men and two women chatting and preparing lunch while two of them are arm-wrestling on one of the three tables.
Before you have time to react and almost as if they were expecting you, several of them look at you, smile, and open their arms in greeting saying, "We're glad you could make it! You're just in time to join us for our mid-day meal. Or, would you like a pint of ale, first?"
Out of Character: : See updated maps...
Out of Character: Now this is where I would love to take a more tactful approach but I know this party is not much for talking so I will leave it up to them what they will do and include my combat rolls which is how this will likely turn out.
In Character: Thane smiles and he is pretty sure that he has a a look of surprise. "It smells good, too bad I'm not hungry"
"So what did you find on the bodies thane anything of use" delgar will follow along with the party "Pretty sure we can tell what of people these men are by the severed heads even if captured how could you trust what they said"
Out of Character: Information, not everything is about killing. While it is true that they might not like our presence we could gain knowledge about the area, caves, etc. Remember they live here, we're the ones that are strangers so they know the land. Its also natural that Thane will never seek outright combat as a Thief his tactics surrounds getting in and out without breaking a sweat if possible.
Ardo follows up Thanes bow shooting by hammer throwing.
I have also added a single cure light if someone falls they get it and ignore my combat that round.
