Out of Character: Dungeon Master, that's just it we all go back to each one and put forward our bluff as before. At least I assumed we each took one of the bandits and did this or was it that you had Thane doing it all?
When you tell them that only the one that tells you the truth will be let go, the first two respond with, "But I did tell you the truth." And the third one continues to remain silent.
Thane is not pleased by the lies so he takes the one who is silent into the kitchen and puts the other two to watch. He says,
"Your friend here does not want to speak, so here is what we will do - a little game."
Thane gags the observers and puts cloth in their ears, he gets a bag and chair and begins a waterboarding technique saying,
"I hate to do this, I really do but you have chosen it for yourself. Now I will ask again."
Drethen will stand in front of the other two and says, "I guess you two do not want to be free as you will not tell us what we need to know. Maybe removing your left hands will show the world that you are thieves and not to be trusted." He will take out his sword and start to sharpen it.
Out of Character: hey Dungeon Master I think you might need to start using that nag thing that you guys are supposed to have. I think some character owners haven't gotten over the holidays yet.
In Character: Thane does his job looking for the truth.
As Thane waterboards the bandit who refused to talk, Drethen threatens the other two. The two remaining bandits look with horror at Thane's and Drethen's actions and cry out, "We've told you all that we know! What else can we possibly tell you?!?"
Drethen will make sure the other two are well gagged. He will tell the others to hold them still as he cuts off their little finger from their left hands. After which he will tell them. "We will let you go now. You both have been marked as criminals. Do not come back to these parts as criminals or I will remove a hand next time." He will make sure they have no weapons, escort them to the entry and release them. "Run now or I will shoot you." He puts an arrow to his bow and begins to draw it.
