I never did like Bill Maher as an actor or comedian. I recently also discovered that he is very liberal and saw him on Mad TV bashing the American public for voting Bush into another 4 years. I am so tired of these actor/celebrities who use the media to promote and/or bash politicians.
I'd have to agree. I never really liked him as and actor or comedian, maybe you just have to be in the mood for him.. Nevertheless I know a lot of people would disagree with me about my comments, but hey everyone is entitled to their opinions...free country remember.. Just kidding people..The point is, I don't think he's very funny, he may be political but he's no polotician......
Although I did vote for Bush in the last election, and am glad he is still our president, I did enjoy watching politically incorrect very much, and appreciate his pointed comedy, even if I don't always agree with his politcal point of view. I heard about him being sued and also that he was 'seeing' Anne Coulter (makes barfing noises) but the only thing I know is I wish I could afford HBO so I could still see him as I found him very funny.
I never watched his show but beleive it or not, I spoke to him on the phone a couple of times. I handle customer problems for an airline and he had a few issues about 4 or 5 years ago with ticket policies, flight delays etc. After the first couple of times, he had his assistant contact me afte that and we tried to work out his problems. I ended up getting some free tickets to some concerts for my troubles. Got good seats to the Dixie Chicks and ground floor tickets to Tina Turner. I actually gave the Tina Turner tickets to a friend who is a big fan.
To the topic of this area, the woman suing shouldn't have a reason to sue. Any non-celebrity person who made a promise that they didn't keep couldn't get sued for something like this. As to Bill Maher himself, I like him as much as I like Bill O'reilly. They are both rude to people and under no circumstance will they ever even considered anyone elses points of view. People like Bill Maher are rude, and have no manners when it comes to other peoples opinions. I do watch both of them though, kind of a love hate relationship I suppose. I sit there and yell at the screen, its quiet amusing to my wife.
The latest is that Bill Maher, a former fan of Obama, is now saying down with the Obamation. Apparently he is not happy with the way Obama is going around shifting celebrity status instead of dealing with issues of governance.

While I disagree a lot with Bill Maher's opinions, he has it right on the head if you voted for Obama. You are getting too much TV time, campaigning for the next election and fluff instead of the "change" that you voted for. When he said that Obama needs a little more George Bush in him, this is exactly what he was talking about.
