When I worked in Leavenworth Kansas that was a interesting experience. With Ft. Leavenworth being the main military discipline barracks (Prison). I saw many people incarcerated there. Out side the Military compound was also the Kansas State high security penitentiary and also US federal Penitentiary. Needles to say with three high security prisons all right around the area it was a very interesting place to be. Many people told me that Leavenworth, Kansas had only three types of people in the town. Those in prison, Those working at the prisons or those waiting for someone to get out or the prisons.
