Limited Membership

Limited Membership is a Group status that limits what a Member can do.

Usually, Limited Membership is given when a Member's account is pending deletion, has suspicious activity (Possibly hacked on their end) or they are making trouble of some sort.

In the past "Limited" represented not being able to Post at all - just read, however with some recent custom coding I've made it so all Limited Members can still participate its just that their Posts and Topics will now automatically be queued for approval first before being made public. This lessens the work load on Moderators and allows better moderation of the Membership.

That's a good solution to catch them before they go on those posting raves where they start complaining about everything and try to get everyone else to agree with them. Too bad you didn't have this some time ago it could of really helped.

Yes, it has worked quite effectively. We recently used it on a Member that was a troublemaker, when they gracefully left it was then easy to delete their account without having any damage done.

As someone with a Limited Membership, I really don't mind posts needing to be queued. It doesn't affect my participation, and if anything it would spare me the embarrassment if I broke a rule (Which hopefully won't happen).

I do appreciate being able to look at any topic and knowing it'll be a constructive discussion, without spam or complaining.
