Age of Consent in Trinidad & Tobago
The age of consent has been raised to 18 years of age in Trinidad & Tobago. You can be sent to prison for LIFE if you are convicted! Those older men who like to be around these little girls beware - you be behind bars for life! What are your thoughts about this move?
QUOTE (Trinidad Express)The Children’s Act states that penetration of a child includes: (A) the insertion of any body part or any object into a child’s bodily orifice; or (B) the insertion of a part of a child’s body into a person’s bodily orifice, and “penetrates” in relation to a child, shall be construed accordingly; “penis” includes scrotum.
The Act goes on to state that bodily orifice means anus, vagina, urethra, mouth, ear or nostril, and can be utilized for children of both sexes. Ref. Source 7w

Comments: Despite this new law ,The problem that still remains is that the police still have to catch offenders, and the judiciary must deal with them in an effective manner which will make potential offenders think twice before breaking the law. Those crime offenders under 18 should be given work orders as punishment for their first offence and not sent to prison.
