Acknowledging that he would be of little use pursuing leads or information with the guild of magi, and that the presence of one such as himself might be considered a heresy in temples built in reverence to Ilmater or Lathander, Skreed excuses himself for a few hours to explore the smithing district. He might be inclined to commission a new weapon (Or weapons) as the headsman's axe he has been traveling with is not ideally suited for hunting or fighting and most readily available arms are fashioned with smaller grips than feel right in his sizable hands.

He advises Cadmus of this before departing, assuring the cleric of his intention to return that night.

In the event that the group may linger here for several days (Which is doubtful, but just in case) Skreed would make an effort to find short term, unskilled work as a body guard, laborer, or the like.

Brennic shall set to entertaining the local populace. He will perform exercises and weapon drills bare chested. He will invite the other warriors of the party to spar with him. This is both to advertise their fighting abilities and also to get a feel for their fighting style so that they may fight better together. He will invite others to spar as well, either weapons or wrestling. Later in the day he will regale people with tales and songs of famous gladiators, Red Haired Sonja, Hogan the Human Hulk and the Goliath Andre. He will swap tales and songs with minstrels and other entertainers. If they need a compliment or extra actor or voice he will assist.

Any coins thrown his way will almost be intermediately spent. He will happily accept drinks and meals. While definitely flirtatious he oddly draws the line at being kissed only. He fears the nightmares may be contagious in some diabolical way but will not reveal that.

Throughout all of this Brennic keeps his ears open for any rumours or potential opportunities of heroic employment.

Near evening Brennic will visit the temple of Sune to make a votive offering and make a short prayer to the divinity for his lost love.

After stuffing himself with the good food, Cadmus assures the party that he will return to the Unnatural Rose at night. Though not unskilled with arms and armor, he excuses himself from Brennic's offer for the time being. (Seriously, people would laugh if Cadmus went around bare-chested. He's NOT muscular at all) Cadmus predictably walks up to the temple ward, introducing himself to the clergy, and seeking answers to the dilemma of the nightmares. He will wear his signet ring, showing the crest of his family. Of course, he wears his holy symbol on his chest. If the smaller temple denotes less-powerful priests, Cadmus will also visit the temples of other gods who serve good causes such as Ilmater, listening for any auspices or auguries of import. He wonders, for a brief moment, if he should be accompanying Skreed, as he is fairly certain that he is a stranger to the city, but the answers to his questions will be hard-pressed to be found outside of his sphere of familiarity.

After the Rite of Highsun, Cadmus will return to the Unnatural Rose for some much-needed sleep. He'll awaken for supper and the evening gathering, still clad in the robes of a simple travelling cleric, his ring in the bottom of his coin-pouch.

The Repentant Soldier says...

After being in the sewers, Alexi is quick to clean/maintain his equipment and then seek out a bath before he does anything else. Once he and his equipment are cleaned he does join Brennic in sparring, seeing it as a good opportunity to train and maintain his edge. Alexi tends to be a little more comfortable in Brennic's presence versus the others in the party, primarily due to Brennic's obvious martial background.

When sparring he would engage in some small talk with Brennic and if asked Alexi would reveal a little bit about his background but it would be limited to the fact that he was a soldier for a time. However; he avoids anything specific or details about the battles he may have fought in. If asked what he did after being released from being a soldier he would reply with a vague "Odd jobs here and there."

He asks Brennic where he learned to fight, but wouldn't probe too deeply. Otherwise he seems most comfortable when he and Brennic discuss tactics, sword play, or any other issues related to skill in combat.

When Alexi sees the others back at the inn/tavern he will remind them that they did agree to address the problem in Brixia, and he would suggest that they leave at daybreak to fulfill that obligation.

[I don't believe anyone actually picked up the pouch that Camelia placed on the table. I pick up the pouch and count the gold inside.

{Dungeon Master, please tell me how much is in the pouch}

I then divide it into seven equal parts and give each party member his share with the exception of Cadmus. To him, I give two shares. I keep one share for myself.

{Alternatively, you could tell us how much each share comes out to}

Then, I will ask Remus if there is a cartographer in Oharius or maybe even a cartographer's studio/shop.]

[Also, you never mentioned if I found a sheath for the kriss.]

Skreed
You follow your nose round the city for a while until you find the bustling Smithy district in the east. It isn't set up for customers like you (Or any adventurer) Many of the smitheys are large places with multiple smiths churning out weapon after weapon. While not shoddy work, (They don't mind an audience) it is boring, functional, and mass produced. Perhaps you grow bored of finding out which weapon the next smithy specialised in and you seek out smaller smitheys.

Come the deepening shadows of the afternoon you find just that, a Dwarf that finally has a wide array of implements and weapons on display down a side alley. "Finding me, must have taken some time," He grins. He is willing to to sell you any standard (Simple or martial) weapon in your size for normal market rates or upgrade your current weapon(S) to fit better for 20% of the normal cost of it. "It won't be quite the same as a new weapon, but it will last" Is his comment on the upgrade. "Come back tomorrow after noon" He will say if you get something done from him.

Brennic
You find yourself in an arena nearby the Keep and sign up for some of the non lethal bouts (The lethal ones are reserved for slaves and criminals) there. Stopping for a break just after midday you collect tips left for you and you follow your fellow fighter/gladiators into a tavern right next door. Before too long Alexi manages to find you and the two of you return to the arena for some sparring as the shadows grow long into the evening. Brennic you split briefly to make your offering then rejoin the party in the Unnatural Rose Inn that evening.

Rhovador
Counting the coin you find it is indeed the 100 gold pieces that Camielia previously said there was. [quick note here, looks like Cadmus is no longer with the party, so split it into six parts I guess]
The Kriss was bare and you found nothing on the tiefling that seemed to be a sheath, must of just stuck it in his belt as is.

Remus directs you to the local map maker. It is a small shop on the edge of the market district in the south of the town, but it seems well run by a skilled human. "Greetings! The name is Auguste, what can I do you for?" [I will be honest here, I don't have a map of the realm, I am not very good with that kind of thing, but I can sell you a map and then I know you have the knowledge so we could work in the other thread to give you a greater idea of the lands]

Gradard accepts his share of the coin from Rhodavor and gets cleaned up. He then gets some much needed sleep if only for a few hours. He gets up at lunchtime and eats some lunch at Remus's. He then sneaks off without telling anyone back down to the organ room where the smashed organ is and searches for any parts that he could use for his steam pistol. He also takes any valves, tubes, steel cords, pulleys, levers, cogs, wheels, screws, nuts, and bolts that aren't smashed and that he can carry. [Please let me know what I manage to find specifically]
Gradard then goes to the underground friends and warns them that those on the surface know of their existence down here due to the slip of the tongue of one of his companions. Gradard also apologies on his behalf. Before warning them he asks if they have any pearls that he could have. After this ordeal Gradard heads back above just in time for dinner and drinks listening to the tales of Brennic's adventures.

"This is fine steel, Master Dwarf. One should be proud to wield blades such as these." Skreed holds one of the weapon smith's deftly crafted longswords bridged across his hands, considering its weight and balance.

"Would you be able to do something with this?" He returns the longsword to its perch along the wall and lays his greataxe across a counter with a dense thud of steel on oak. "I would have the head replaced with a double bit and the haft reinforced if possible."

Skreed negotiates the price for this work [20% of the base price comes to 6g] and then asks whether he might commission a pair of shortswords. He describes what he wants in some detail. He is not looking for anything fancy or ornate. He would like one to be 2-3 inches longer than standard and the other 2-3 inches shorter. Dark matte steel with a simple, utilitarian cross guard. He only asks that the edge remain keen and that the grip be carved from the bones of a polar bear, a beast sacred to the Goliath's people.

Skreed has no time table for these weapons to be completed (He admits in candor that he does not know how long he will be in town or when he might return) and is willing to offer a few gold as down payment. If the bone proves too dear, Skreed suggests he may be able to procure that himself (As long as this is reflected in the price of the finished blades).
