"This one lies," Skreed utters to the group (In common). "Someone get up a tree. Look around."
He pulling the goblin's head back more firmly he presses the edge of his blade into the flesh of its scrawny neck. "Is Something funny?" he grumbles menacingly in Orcish.

Aerendyl watches the deer go, silently regretting not having prepared the 'speak with animals' ritual this morning. "The forest would have told us all we needed to know" he says under his breath.
He looks around for the nearest tall tree and begins climbing - with a better vantage point he'll spy out the direction the party needs to take in order to return to the village.
[Aerendyl grew up in a forest, he should be able to navigate here. I'll roll a strength check in case the tree climbing is tricky.]

The Repentant Soldier says..."End this creatures charade, Skreed" Alexi grunts and nods as Skreed puts the dagger to the things throat "I grow weary of this. Lets head back to the village and be on our way."

The Goblin cackles as his ruse is found out. "You might kill me but worse will await me if I lead you to my kin." He says in a much more measured tone. "Heh heh, that Druid isn't very good at the whole wilds thing is he? Bumbling around .urk" As you draw the dagger across his throat.
The tree is fairly simple to climb, but having a few troubles it takes longer than usual. Aerendyl you finally make your way, gasping, to near the top of a large tree. Looking out you see the rising hill back the way you came, the village tucked on one side, a small distance from the forest. On the other side of the hill there is a distinctive end to the forest. There are a multitude of tree stumps making a sizable clearing earlier than the forest should perhaps finish. You also see the odd figure running across it, and it sure isn't typical wildlife.

Brennic's face changes as Screed casually murders Xurt.
"Why did you do that? His only crime was loyalty to his clan. No wonder these goblins hide so well, if this is their typical fate."
As he says this he will poke Screed with his finger. He will soon realise he is berating a nine foot monster and step back somewhat worried.

Skreed rises, glancing toward Alexi before turning toward Brennic. He mindlessly wipes the dagger against his leg smearing as much of the gore onto his tattered breeches as on the bare skin visible beneath.
Poking Brennic back pointedly, he responds in kind. "Your soft heart was answered with deceit, gladiator. It has cost us undue hours and may have alerted the clan of our presence. This is not the arena. We are not here to tease and tickle our foes to delight a crowd."
And you would do well to mind where you stick your finger if you mean to keep it unbroken."

The Repentant Soldier says... "This ones mere existence was a crime" Alexi spits on the ground near the goblins now lifeless corpse "The same is true for all of his kind, they know only evil intent. Theirs is a life dedicated to destroying everything around them, they bring pain, suffering, and waste!" despite himself Alexi finds his voice is rising, now half a shout and half growl.
"They are monsters, not people, products of creation gone wrong! I've fought too many of them to not have learned that they cannot be trusted and they cannot be redeemed! This one was warned, and he could have been leading us into an ambush. It is too much of a risk keeping him alive, and I'm not willing to take that risk."
Alexi kneels down next to the body of the goblin and begins to search him for any valuables, weapons, or any clues to his origin, clan, etc. "We're not in an arena now Brennic" he grumbles as his hands work over the body, roughly they push into pockets and into the folds of the small creatures armor "These filthy creatures will not abide by any rules and they would just as quickly slit your throat as they would look at you if you give them the opportunity."
The search complete Alexi stands up and looks up to Aerendyl, "I wonder if the village is even aware that this ones clan may be nearby" he says to the others as he watches the elf move through the tree above "What do you guys think; do we try to seek out this clan to make sure the village is going to be safe, or should we head back to the village to warn them and then be on our way?"
