As you approach the cave, a head pops out... A goblin head. You hear in common. "Enemies! Enemies go go! Blow the horn, there are too many!."
Before taking another five steps in any direction you hear a deep note of a horn, BARUMM.
Brennic lets fly with his trident at the goblin he then readies his warhammer for the next available foe as he moves forward with Skreed.
"All squads advance! Petrus cover our rear!" he shouts, thinking the monsters might panic if they believe there are overwhelming numbers.
Aerendyl will follow suit into the cave but will stay near the back of the group. He will try to get an idea of the number of attackers and their positions before attacking. He will also keep glancing over his shoulder so that if a group of goblins should suddenly return from the direction of the tracks, he can cast Thunderwave on them to push them back and also damage them.
Thunderwave can't be used to attack forward since it would hit allies, so he will use poison spray on targets that present within 10 feet ahead of him.
If there are no targets or the fighters have them all in-hand, Aerendyl will conserve his spell slot in case Cure Wounds is needed.
Out of Character: Dungeon Master, should I describe these spells or will you look them up? Both require constitution saves from targets or else will damage them, so no rolls for those. Edited: Milesprower on 3rd Jan, 2015 - 6:40am
Alexi moves forward, his soldier instincts kick in and he begins directing his comrades to form some type of formation assuming there was room (Like an arrow formation) with himself at the front center, Brennic forward right, and Skreed forward left. He would try to get Aerendyl in the center behind the line to watch the teams back and support with his druidic magic. Alexi puts his shield up, using it to cover the advance and block any projectiles and he will strike at any creature that they come in range of.
Brennic will follow Alexi's directions and take his place in the formation. Having been advised that these 'goblins' are a malignancy aping a humanoid form he will show them no mercy. He will inflict brutal injuries so that the evil force directing them will feel some of their pain and suffering.
As the Five of you round the corner to the entrance of the cave you come across an array of four goblins. Glacing at each other they try to keep their distance...backing away slowly as you advance, but not nearly fast enough. You are upon them.
Gradard's firebolt scorches a path before any others close, immolating the head of one goblin. It drops to the ground, dead.
As you form up Brennic, you fall into place beside Alexi and let loose your trident. It tears a gash out of another Goblin as it glances by.
Alexi as you dash in to engage your weapon swings wide and the nearest goblin dodges your hasty strike.
Darting out from the protective wedge Aerendyl, you manage to catch two in the area of your thunder wave. The goblin that was damaged by Brennic looses his feet due to your spell and knocks himself in the head on a jagged rock. It appears the other one managed to resist most of the effects.
Setting upon the closest of you (Alexi) the Goblins swing their Scimitars. One of them gets a lucky swing opening a wound in your arm for 4 damage.
Finally closing in Skreed you hack down with your Great axe cleaving a goblin in twain.
As the Five of you ready your next moves the Goblins all jump backwards(Their nimble escape ability), and run further into the cave, out of your sight (Round a corner). Once again you hear a horn start up. BARRUM.

Thanks for the rolls you did guys, but if you are going to roll several attacks, it might pay to roll more than just damage (Looking at you Gradard and Brennic) And Please try to remember Initiative if it looks like battle, some of you did, some didn't. I have rolled for this combat now however. Happy New Year and I am glad to have everyone back!
