Bella Bond Murder Case

The little girl known as "Baby Doe" -- who in June was found dead, her body wrapped in a trash bag on a rocky shoreline in Boston Harbor -- has been identified as Bella Bond, a law enforcement source said today.

Rachelle Bond, the girl's mother, and her boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, have been arrested in connection with the death, the source said. McCarthy is not Bella's biological father. Ref. CNN

Bail has been set at $1 million for the mother of 2-year-old Bella Bond, aka "Baby Doe." Rachelle Bond, 40, is charged as an accessory after the fact in her daughter's death. The judge said the bond was to ensure the mother's appearance in court.

Rachelle Bond's boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, 35, is being held without bail on a murder charge.
