Walker vilified for saving 1500 jobs
Unions, unwilling to give any concessions in the midst of a massive budget shortfall, have shown they would rather let members of their own union get laid off than give up any ounce of power. Gov. Walker signed the anti-collective bargaining law into effect today, thus saving about 1,500 jobs. The left will continue to complain - even though leftist icons like FDR and even the AFL-CIO were once staunch opponents to government unions being able to collectively bargain. Ref. Source 6

Republican Gov. Scott Walker will narrowly retain his seat in Wisconsin's recall election, CNN projects.
Walker all but did away with collective bargaining rights for public employees in 2011, angering labor unions and spurring the recall effort.
Democratic supporters of the recall effort and Republican groups helping Walker hold on to his seat spent an estimated $70 million-$80 million in the state's first recall election. Walker raised 7½ times that of his Democratic challenger, Tom Barrett. Ref. CNN
