Is this event unique to Alaska?

Is it one annual event, more of a competition, with two different variations?

well, I was thinking ferris wheel or some sort of attraction. World Fair or something like that.. maybe a convention?.. but those things are more then 2 in the world.

I am still thinking on this but right now I am stumped. Everything I can think of are rooted on the ground. It is the fact that there is only 2 that gets me too.

Ok it is something that is built by man but long rather than tall. It is able to move about but not on its own power so it must have something that transports it. There are only two of this item in north america. It is not any where else.

If this something that is in the States or is it anywhere in North America?

Is it pulled or pushed to make it move?

Does this item sit on its own wheels to move?

I believe we are down to the wire on guesses -
After rereading the posts, I believe AlaskanLDS has us chasing shadows and we are probably way off base - getting hung up on something that MIGHT not be as important as we are making it out to be.
So, unless she posts an answer quickly, I think I will do some research and see if I can follow her thoughts *BIRD* (points in an odd direction and runs away)

Rather off topic, but... In case no one knows what we are talking about there is some movie that I can't remember with a little animal that has ADD and he will be talking and then points and says BIRD and takes off--kind of like my thought pattern!

And your probably more right than you know. SO get researching!
