Allow me to express my appreciation to be a member of this community. I submitted a response to a Hypnosis question several years ago and see my answer is still on page 3. I was a convert to the LDS church from age 14 to 40. I removed my name from the church records formally following many years of prayer. I never had or even yet have any problem with the word of wisdom. My life is much improved due to high principles. I left the church mainly because many of my questions were not answered despite earnest search for the answers, and some principles contradictory between Prophets. I would have to say though the most devastating blow was in the writings of General Authorities whom did not agree with one another from year to year. Today's LDS church is not nearly the same as it was 50 years ago and a person would think our heavenly father to be more consistent in guiding the Prophet's. I learned about Hypnosis at 15 and was told the church regarded it as evil. Later I learn it is o.k. Using great discretion through a medical professional; later it is ok by a trained Hypnotherapist. I was a Hypnotist at 16 and worked my way to Dr. Of Clinical Hypnotherapy, with an additional Ph.D. In Clinical Hypnotherapy. Presently I have acquired many other Holistic Certifications, and Doctorate in Clinical Pastoral Medicine. So I was evil in assisting thousands overcome addictions, meeting their goals, enhancing health, and substantialy helping improve quality of life. I seldom asked for anything in return except pass on the kindness, and a testimonial. Let me tell you people are proud and forget very fast how great our Heavenly Father is. I can always feel our Lord and administering angles assisting me in providing support to others. As I write this his presence is strong. The feeling is nearly the same as when I was giving a blessing when a member of the church. I still respect LDS members. My problem was mainly in trying to be perfect. Thanks for this free expression sight. Since my last post continued advancement and certification in holistic health modalities has been aquired in Brainwave Entrainment and Behavioral Relationship Entrainment. I have found that a quick Hypnosis session prior to Neuro Stimulation Sound Therapy greatly enhances the short term and long term outcome. I thought my last post was a discussion and certainlly apologize for relating to a small portion of my background. Usually folks want to know if the source of information is crediable.
