God Parents

Comments: Ok here goes, my brother has asked my wife and I to be God parents to his son. My problem is would it be against church practice to accept his invitation.

I am assuming that you are both Catholic as well. If so, there is absolutely no reason you cannot be God parents. If you are not Catholic or do not believe in the religion, then I think you are going to have a problem finding a priest to do the ceremony. The key thing during the ceremony is that you promiss to raise the child under the word of the lord in the event that the birth parents are gone. This is the true reason for having God parents. I am God father of 2 little girls from my best friends back in the states.
