A.J. Jacobs' 2007 book, "A Year of Living Biblically," Chronicled his experiences literally following as much of the Bible literally as possible. Now, CBS is basing a sitcom on the book, according to Relevant. Ref. Source 3v

I think the Bible and most other religion's tenets were great social contracts that kept people in a pre-rational world safe from making a shambles of their health or their society. I would never tell anyone that wished to closely pursue their own religious aspirations. Turning such a thing into a sitcom sounds a bit distasteful, but I suspect they are working with the person behind the book. I'll have to keep an eye on this...
