Notes:With the engineering section now under his purview, he was assigned to take a team and investigate a new piece technology found on a mostly empty planet. During the course of the investigation, Ajit was injured badly and sent to the hospital. The mission was successful and he managed to get the critical intel, but the Navy decided he was getting too old to keep performing his duties. He was let go with a nice severance package and had saved up a nice nest-egg during his career. Now drawing retirement, Ajit still feels he has lots left to give and is looking for a way to make a contribution to society.
Yea he is human, and the injury was not very severe (Just -1 to a phys trait, which had been bumped previously for a net 0 gain to Strength). I am looking forward to playing with [you all].
Ajit Akash Gadhavi looks good and approved; now we need a way to get him onto the Wildcard. The crew are currently on Whanga and that is very small population world but I suppose there could be a way to explain why your character is there and give him a reason for leaving on the Wildcard unless you want to wait until they arrive at a regular star port like Efate or Allel or something?
So maybe the new man was volunteering his good looking self for the Crazy Doctor's work on the Fountain of Youth. Having collected the necessary specimens they promised him a flight out of the Whanga system, provided he forgets everything he was tested for or asked about.
I'm open to reasons, as you all know the game better than I do, but with his military history, I was thinking he could be sent for added guns to take down this exostalker. Alternatively with his engineering skills, you could find him offering his services to repair your ship. Since he is retired and has a nice pension he would probably be the cheapest and with his passion for "Classic" ships he could take her on as a pet project to restore, joining the crew and offering his time for free (Even though the parts and such will still have to be bought out of crew funds). But as I said, I am open to whatever you guys think would feel most real in game as you know it better.
In order to try and get Ajit Akash Gadhavi hooked up with the crew as soon as possible lets have him on Whanga (maybe he was there as an engineer assisting in construction or repairs as part of the colonization effort). In the main thread I'm having Adeline go to the village to pick up passengers and maybe Ajit can be among them and would agree to start off with "working passage" to Allel but the crew can offer him a steady position on the ship or a share in the ship to keep him on board given his skills.
Alchyrogue, if you want to post something in the Main thread regarding your character, why he is on Whanga and why he wants to leave we can finally get him written into the game if you are still interested.
I am still interested. Do I need to wait for anyone to go to the village to find passengers, or just post now? I understand my first post needs to be a little history of why Ajit was there and why he wants to leave.
