In Character: Gaden spends much of the jump either in his quarters or in the common areas with the rest of the crew, eating and drinking. When things are quiet, he can be seen practicing sleight of hand tricks, making various objects disappear. If pushed, he shares some stories for his days with the Star Marines.
Out of Character: I will train stealth for the week, hence the sleight of hand.
In Character: Enerii grins as the ship goes into jump. "Well, we're saved from the joys of civilisation now, peeps."
During the week, when he's not following the repairbot around or crashed out in his cabin, he does a Mark 1 eyeball survey of the ship looking for things that need fixed or replaced and noting them on his handcomp.
In Character: : At one point during dinner with everyone, Maiokus looks around and says. "Hey guys, how about that celebratory drink Njall mentioned?"
Eh, not a Jump-Party crew then. Probably just a Free Trader tradition.
During Jump Week Njall keeps an eye on the J-Drive ( putting a feed of the readings on his hand computer if possible ), and Life Support. Again, first outing with the Wildcard - he wants to keep an eye on the performance of the systems.
Njall spends a good part of each day in study, but the rest of the time is around and about, keeping an eye on systems or socialising. As far as possible his study time is spent in the common areas ( while we are without passengers might as well use the comfy chairs ).
On the subject of study, Njall is torn between improving J-Engineer and qualifying in Broker. Any opinion among the crew as to which is more important?
"Drinks, Maiokus? OK. If it's not too late in the day. Need everyone fresh and clear when we exit Jumpspace. Talking of that, shall I take her in to the Gas Giant for a skim first thing? Process it on the way in. Full tanks in case we need a fast exit."
In Character: : Maiokus grabs a bottle of whiskey and starts filling glasses.
"Well it depends. We'll have two tons of fuel left when we land on the other side. Which means if Gas giant is close to Ruie then we can make a detour. If it's closer to our coordinates we might have to stop by there first anyways. I'll plot the course when we get there. We might have to bite the bullet and buy fuel on Ruie."
After the glasses are full he raises a toast: "To the Wildcard's not so maiden voyage."
In Character: "To the Wildcat! They say with age comes experience. Hopefully the old girl serves us well."
Krakrefr will do some various check runs around the ship during the week. Usually in engineering, bridge systems and sensors. He helps Enerii when the job is a bit more demanding. Either he spends his time in his cabin, meditating or studying his notes from his scout and exploration days. He also spends time with training in melee combat and in the library of the Wildcard .
His contact with the other members is a bit more than the base typical. He spends just enough time in the common areas and hears or shares war stories with the crew. Sometimes he eats in the bridge looking the voidspace outside.
"Ye, better have a full tank and a half pack of cigaretets than not.", he says stirring the whiskey in his glass. "To our trips! Let them be plenty and rich!", he toastes.
Out of character:Can I get the Blade skill or not? I have only natural weapons as Vargr. Can I use Recon to check a map or no? I am thinking about checking our site of interest.
