"When are there not officials with sticks up their asses? We need to start slumming it more. To hell with these fancy organizations with weird acronyms" Maiokus laughs.
Having not turned off his throat mic, "Remember you selected this."
Noticing the confused look of the Lieutenant, Silver points to his ear piece, "Crew is discussing our initial choice to come to Ruie."
Silver takes the boarding party upto the crew commons area, where Adeline has prepared some drinks.
As he walks through cargo he talks casually with the young officer. "That other ship, the one before us, impounded. The crew is locked up. Something to do with not using a liaison and filing the right paperwork. We may have acquired two new crew members because of it."
"So we got attacked by non-aligned GTC skirmishers in the starport. The local GTC detachment arrested us and in exchange for keeping us out of prison we assisted them on a compound raid. Of course that went belly up and the," Silver pauses and puts his fingers in the air to make the quotation marks, "Enemy was waiting for us on the ground."
Continuing on towards the crew commons, Silver continues to disclose details. "The ship managed okay. But the GTC forces took a hit and we were left to patch them up. The forces at the facility were routed and we actually found some of what we came for. Upon returning to the starport and prepping for departure, we heard of a planet wide infection."
Having reached the area with refreshment, Silver gestures for the boarding party to help themselves. Silver reminds himself to thank Adeline for bringing out the good stuff. "So consulting with our good doctor, we decided to find information so we could clear ourselves with a good bill of health. We started asking around and then we received some of their Agents on board to take the good doctor and myself away. So we left, quickly."
"Small firefight on board. One of theirs was killed and is currently in cryo storage. The others are currently in low berth and refuse to relinquish their weapons to anyone but you and the boarding party."
Sampling some of the cuisine, Silver looks to the Lieutenant, "So can you take them off our hands?"
In sickbay the young man walks around eyeing the auto doc and the various attached instruments and shifts nervously "So… uh, you got like, stims or something?" he says and glances up at Shuth.
The LT politely refuses any drinks or food, telling Silver that it is against policy for him or his men to accept. But he listens to Silver explain the situation, nodding occasionally to show that he understands and is paying attention. When Silver is finished the LT gives a final nod "I see… well, normally we see traders and the like going down to Ruie and never coming back up, so at least it looks like that worked out for you. Shouldn't be a problem taking these guys off your hands. So you got a couple of new crew members huh? You have the ships crew manifest updated I assume? We'll need to look it over of course, along with your passenger manifest. First, let gets these guests of yours taken care of." He motions for Silver to lead him and his men to the low berth where the GTC men are waiting.
Its subtle, but Silver catches it; when the LT requests the crew manifest Adeline looks up from the counter where she is organizing the food and drink and her eyes widen for a moment, but she quickly recovers and goes back to arranging the table. The LT didn't appear to notice her reaction.
The Imperial marines stack up outside the door to the low berth and the LT lowers the visor on his helmet. He opens the iris valve but stays off to the side where the bulkhead provides him with cover. "This is Luietenant Godefroy, Imperial Marines" he shouts, "Drop your weapons and lie face down on the ground. Do it now!"
You can hear a series of clatters as rifles are dropped or placed on the ground. Godefroy glances into the low berth area then with a motion he moves forward and the marines fall in behind him and they pour into the room with weapons trained on the men lying on the ground. The marines secure the weapons and apply restraints to the GTC guards. Eventually they begin filing out the men, all restrained with hands behind their backs. Agent Mentsoyan is one of the first to be led out of the room. He says nothing and looks straight ahead avoiding eye contact with Silver as he and his men are led away.
The men are taken to the airlock and loaded into the launch. After they have been loaded a pair of marines return to low berth to collect the body of the fallen guard and take him to the launch as well. Once they are all aboard Godefroy and his men return to the crew common area. The visor on Godefroy's helmet rises again to reveal his face and he says "Alright then; we'll just look over your manifests and be on our way." Silver again notices Adeline glancing up from her position near the table, which she appears to be absentmindedly wiping down with a rag.
Shuth looks at the kid. "No I do not have any stims or anything like them for your enjoyment. IF you wish to receive a stimulant then you need to go to your dad and have him show me a copy of a prescribed medication from a doctor and then I will think about giving you something similar once I get it made. Until then you are no longer allowed in sick bay. Now get out." Shuth will make sure that he leaves sick bay and head back towards his stateroom.
Hearing this, Maiokus looks down at the Comms unit and notices the manifest was left there. He quickly picks it up and heads to the common area and hands the manifest to the LT. When the LT appears surprised he gestures to Silver and says, "The good captain always forgets to turn his throat mic off." He leans in conspiratorially and whispers, "He snores really loud." And winks.
In Character: seeing the assembled party of marines stirs a sense of nostalgia within Gaden, reminding him of his years aboard the USS Lightmadien. Remembering the rush of adrenaline that floods your veins as you board an enemy ship, he can almost imagine himself there. But the memories are soon quashed by the image of Majeesa, Gaden's deceased wife.
Shaking his head to clear his mind, Gaden approaches one of Godefroy's men and clears his throat. "May I ask who your commanding officer is? I may know him from my OTS days."
Silver smiles sheepishly and hopes the manifest was updated. Reaching up he thumbs off the throat mic and looks to Maiokus. "I do snore REAL loud. It keeps you all away. All except Krakrefr."
Checking the crew in attendance Silver nods in the direction of sickbay, "Anyone heard from the Doc recently? Did he mention to anyone what he was working on before the boarding party arrived?"
