Njall takes the water and refills his glass. He smiles to Silver:
"Prefer to stay sharp with passengers aboard. Time for drinking when we offload 'em"
Taking a drink :
"Do we have any cargo space spare? Enough to make a stop pay?"
A thought strikes, and turning to Doc Shuth with a smile Njall says
"We're wasting an asset with you Doc. Man with your skills should be doing good in the universe. We could offer a visiting clinic. Lot of low-tech worlds out here, probably do some good. And earn some Credits. Use the Low tubes for transporting hard cases. The 'card could be a regular mercy-ship. Win a good rep."

"To be honest I'm not terribly interested in having stock in this old girl" Adeline says in response to the idea of splitting the profits among the crew and then drains what's left in her wine glass "I think salary would work better for me; I'm not really looking to make any investments right now."
Her plate is quickly cleared of the food that she had placed on it and she leans back in her chair patting her stomach with a satisfied look on her face "I like to keep my options open, and I don't want to get tied down in any sort of partnership. I'm thinking a good salary of about 3,000cr. A month should work… perhaps its a bit more than the average steward salary but I think the captain here can attest to the fact that my skills and experience are not limited to those of a simple steward. And you know what, I'll even give you this first month free."
"Anyway" she smiles and continues "This little Lordling is going to be trouble, mark my words. We have about a week in jump space with a bored teenager that has a sense of entitlement. I've seen it before; I would almost be on board with doping the kid up for the remainder… giving him enough downers so that he sleeps throughout most of the trip. Of course there's no telling whether his father is going to be ok with that… I'm not sure his father cares much one way or the other; again, pretty text book when it comes to these minor noble types that attribute more to their station than they actually have. But the Doc and I can chat with him about it after dinner."
Leaning forward she places her elbows on the table and clasps her hands in front of her "If you can patch the security cameras in the common areas to my hand held I can help keep an eye on things. Sickbay is going to be your primary target for this kid though. Even if we give him what he wants I wouldn't put it past him to try and steal more on his way out. Maybe Doc here would consider sleeping in Sick Bay for a time?"
Out of Character: : As a note, if Shuth does decide to sleep in sick bay it is not designed to be a living space and as such he will suffer some fatigue (-1DM to rolls) if he chooses to set up there for any length of time.
"While I would love to stay in sick bay all the time I do not think that is the best solution. If we have time to stop at some back areas that may need a skill doctors care I can see that helping with our reputation and money issues. But I know we will need to make sure that no one is taking stuff that they do not need especially a snot nosed kid who thinks he is entitled to things. Maybe place him in low berth for a couple weeks to really cool his heels."
Infront of the Vargr is a pile of broken bones, the marrow dried from them. He was listening all this time and after his meal, he drinks from his glass -only water, he wants to stay sober for now- and thinks a bit. He gets a bone from the pile and picks his teeth with the spike-like end of it.
"I believe we have to upgrade the interior systems ASAP. I did not liked the boarding on Ruie nor the brat snooping around. Safety locks, at least between the passengers and the rest of the ship are mandatory. Maybe upgrade some interior with blast doors? I would like to propose to make some hidden stash with emergency equipment around the ship. Some weapons for cqb, like shotguns or slug throwers, and maybe a couple personal oxygen tanks… You know, there is also the danger of pirates, except some Ruie-like authority."
He leans back on his chair and cleans a bit more his teeth.
"I don't mind guarding the ship till the passengers get off. It is better than waking up with a gun in my face or damage to our ship. As for salvaging equipment from derelicts I am in. That's one of the reasons I am here. Some of them can hold precious data too… "
In Character: : Maiokus swirls the wine in his glass as he listens to the others talk. He thinks about the last time he drank the stuff after his old outfit's big heist. He smiles to himself as he remembers the elation and powerful vindication he felt sticking one to the man one last time. His smile falls, however, remembering how easily they bent to the GTC's will back on Ruie. Maybe the wine is getting to him.
He clears his throat and says, "Krakrefr is right, we should pick up some extra arms and hide them about the ship. It's been only three weeks and we've already had our fair share of intruders." He downs the rest of his glass of wine and shrugs. "I like the idea of salvaging derelicts. Might save us some money in the short term. The question is do we do it before or after hitting Whanga? Personally I prefer after. No reason to make our 'lovely' passengers wait. Speaking of which, perhaps Krakrefr, Gaden, and I should take turns watching the kid?"
"I prefer to do these things without passengers on board… one thing at a time, especially when one of them is already a junkie.", Krakrefr gets the last word with a detest and disrespect. "I guess I am the most sober in this table, so I get the first rotation."

"I agree, get the passengers off before starting any other operations. A short stopover for resupply or running a clinic, maybe. Anyway, a salvage gig needs cargo space, and we're pretty full. 'Til we get some more Vacc Suits and some EVA packs we're limited to surface wrecks too."
