Maiokus after relaxing for a few hours and getting freshened up decides to pay Karen a visit in her room. He pushes the intercom buzzer, and says lightly, "Hey comrade, just wanted to check in."

Rebel over...Ajit is glad that the Imperials didn't get too suspicious and take it out on them. After they leave, he passes the time to their destination by inspecting what needs repairing and what is in good shape. He starts making a mental list of all that needs to be done and what he feel confident he can help accomplish.

When Silver is able to regain consciousness he asks for a run down of events after the pirates. Part way through the second telling, Silver stops who ever he is speaking with and asks about his Foldsword. Hopefully someone picked it up before the pirates or anyone else were able to get to it.
Silver isn't much of a tech hand and does not pretend that he is.In a pinch he could figure something out but long term over hauls are out of his sector. So he does what he does best and takes his limited earnings and begins investing in various Galactic Markets and Trades.
Silver is a minimalist and so living expenses are small. This should leave sufficient funds for investing and maybe before the next launch of The Wildcard, provide him some additional capital/credits to upgrade his armor and equipment. If investments turnout to be very lucrative he will invest 25% of is increase back into The 'Card.

QUOTE (summary) After being discharged by the Navy as a Naval Engineer, Ajit wanted to continue contributing to society. He didn’t need much money because he was drawing a nice retirement pension, but at only 42 years old, he didn’t feel like settling down and relaxing either. Thus when he heard of an opportunity to join up with a new settlement group that was terraforming a world, he jumped on it. He loved using his engineering skills and figuring out how to make things work. He got to the planet, and immediately threw himself into his work. He would work long hours and often forget to eat until he started to feel ill. But it was because he was enjoying his work and had nothing to go home to on this relatively barren planet. After about a year of this though, he became sick of it. They were constantly underfunded. He was having to find work-arounds for his work-arounds to the point that it seemed many of the machines were more glue and patches than original parts. He was good at stretching himself and finding creative solutions, but this was getting ridiculous. He had let his supervisor know that he was getting fed up with it, and since he didn’t need the work, that he might leave if a better opportunity presented itself. He was brushed off though as everyone was in the same boat, and most threaten to leave but never do.
Ajit though heard someone asking if any passengers wanted to travel to Alell. He talked to the lady for a bit and discovered that they were usually looking for work and taking on odd jobs. This life of travel piqued Ajit’s interest, but he didn’t want to just travel lazily around the star system. He enquired a little further and found that the ship wasn’t in the best of conditions. Maybe he could use his engineering skills to help bring it back up. As a pilot in the Navy and an engineer, it was one of his passions to restore old ships. He hadn’t had the chance in a long time, but this seemed like a golden opportunity. Deciding to join the crew, Ajit followed Adeline back to her ship and introduced himself to the crew. They seemed like an amiable bunch, and let him work the sensors, as they seemed to be short of a good gunnery recently. Ajit took to it naturally and started seeing some of the issues the ship had. He was becoming excited for the opportunity to work on it. As the ship came down out of jump though, they were attacked.
Ajit manned the sensors and tried his best to support the crew. As Marq, the captain/owner of the ship, went to meet the bandits, Ajit stayed to sound the alarm and make sure help arrived quickly. After Marq gave the signal, Ajit activated the distress signal and ran to help quickly. He was quite skilled with his energy rifle and could cause some major damage. After leaving the bridge, he quickly came to aid Maiokus, and engaged in a brief fire fight with some pirates that were attacking Marq. The fight is over quickly and one pirate is dead while the other two pirates are badly injured. As Marq’s gun jams, Ajit takes the lead and steps in to cover the remaining pirate. The lady pirate had escaped back to her ship. As Ajit tries interrogating the remaining pirate, who goes by Crowley, Maiokus tries to hack the door. Ajit is able to extract the number of pirates from Crowley, and Marq manages to stagger to sickbay to get his wounds tended. Maiokus is finally able to hack the door, but on the other side is the lady pirate. Unable to do much from his current position, Ajit gets ready to fight again when the two suddenly break out in familiarities and acting like chums. After the lady pirate, who is called Karen apparently, puts down her weapon, Ajit relaxes and with her assistance, the rest of the pirates surrender. Ajit helps get Crowley to sickbay, and Karen comes as well. It seems that Njall and Krakrefr were successful in breaching the pirate ship and rounding up the remaining crew members, who are locked in state rooms.
With everything secure, Ajit heads back to the bridge to stand down the distress beacon, only to discover that a marine patrol is on its way. It is bad luck that after discovering the pirates were an old acquaintance of Maiokus’, they would have to be taken in. But the crew decides to hide the passengers and strip whatever they can off the other ship. Being new to the crew, Ajit didn’t have much choice but to follow along. He would prefer to keep activities on the up and up, but he knows that sometimes a debt to friends and colleagues can come before the law. The crew decides to take the turret that the pirates had, so Ajit heads over to lend a hand, but discovers that Njall is not as talented an engineer as he is. Knowing that time was of the essence, Ajit takes over the job and gets Njall to assist him. As they get the turret loose and then loaded into the cargo bay, Ajit only has time to quickly wipe his face and hands on a rag before returning to the bridge for the arrival of the marine patrol.
Ajit arrives in time to man the sensor station as the marine patrol gives orders and speaks with Maiokus. Hearing Maiokus’ story, Ajit is again uncomfortable with lying to law enforcement, but commits the details to memory so that he can keep his story straight. It seems the marines don’t fully believe him, as they are boarded and each crew member questioned individually. As Ajit is questioned, he tries to keep his story straight and answer all the questions as best as he can. He knows that he stumbles in a few places and is probably not the most confident sounding, but he tries to pass it off as nerves because he was a brand-new crew member and this is the first fight he’s been in for many years. He’s not sure how much they believe him, but after everyone is questioned, the marines seemed satisfied as they only confiscated the ship and let the Wildcard continue on its way.
Finally free, the Wildcard finishes making its way to Alell and unloads all its passengers. Ajit helps in whatever way he can while the Wildcard is docked. He makes sure the turret gets installed correctly and helps with whatever other repairs are needed from the fight. Afterwards, he tries to relax and enjoy just working on the Wildcard slowly while the crew takes some apparently needed R&R. He had had his fill of ‘rest’ while on Whanga. With his downtime, Ajit was trying to figure out the mess that was the sensor board and fix what he could slowly.

This is The Cynic, over... In Character: : Maiokus takes the time to reconnect with Karen. They share stories of their exploits since they both left the organization and talk about the good ol' days when times seemed simpler. They had a mission, they had comrades. Brothers and sisters in arms that had something to fight for. Maiokus confesses that since he left, he feels aimless, letting the tides of the stars dictate his fate without an enemy to fight. Perhaps, he muses, that it is the stars themselves that are the enemy given the string of bad luck the crew of the Wild Card had met since their first job together months ago.
Once the ship arrives to Allele, he sees her and her remaining crew off at the port with a smile and hand shake, hoping that he will see her again under different circumstances and not in a casket.
Since then, he has run his duties on the ship as usual. He's cleaned his weapons and combat armor. When not on duty or in jump, he started to write down his reflections in his hand comm.
During and after the incident at Ruie, Maiokus' dislike for authority hardened. Being used as a pawn for the powerful and monied institutions didn't sit right with him. But he swallowed his pride and did what he thought best for his new comrades and went along with the games. Then after dealing with the imperials and their questioning, he realized that he was a terrible liar. They were suspicious, but they let them slide for some reason.
Now going back and forth during some basic trading runs, he tries to get to know his fellow crew members better. He likes them, he realizes. Though the Card is a beat up ol' transport ship, it's become his home. And his crew is as dedicated to keeping it running as he is. He admires their courage in the face of adversity. He helps where he can in installing the new weapons system and in loading and unloading any shipments that need to be taken care of. But he has a lot to learn. When Silver was injured during the boarding action, he had to step up to get out of a messy situation while protecting a former comrade. He could've done better, he reflect. But how? Maybe there will come another time, but he hopes that there won't be.
Out of Character: : Karen's responses and any skill points gained I'm leaving at the discretion of the ref.

Dr Shuth spends his down time thinking of the past few months. After leaving the boring life as a medical doctor and a little bit famous one at that he wanted to try something he has never did before. While still being young. He had always read a lot and he liked to read adventure type books. He thought since he was not getting any younger that if he wanted some adventure and to see some the out laying places that he should join in with a group out exploring and risking it all.
He never thought he would be in the heart of it all so soon. Ruie showed him that while he was a famous doctor there were some places that his experience and knowledge does not help at all. Nothing like causing a planet wide scandal on the first place that they land. Shaking his head I wonders at times why it is not as easy as the novels make it seem. Either way he has come to enjoy his time aboard the Wildcard and all the friends and crewmates he is learning about. He knows that some of them would not be here today if not for his expertise in his field. Plus he knows that he is a valuable asset on board for keeping the crew healthy and as a money maker for the crew with his ability to have 100% revival rates thus far after jumps. It is nice knowing that to say the least.
During his down time at Allele he will look at some of the medical shops to see what improvements he can do to make his sick bay more versatile for all. HE is looking at maybe adding a second bed in sick bay so that he can watch patients closer instead of moving them to another room.
