In Character: : Maiokus unstraps the safety harness after landing and looks about the bridge, "Alright, let's get suited up and find this derelict. What's the plan cap?" He stands and stretches exaggeratedly.

"Well Doc is working on a serum for the things that ail this planet. I recommended we glass the planet but he wouldn't go for it."

"Njall volunteered to man the bridge and keep the ship secure."

"Gaden, Krakrefr, Ajit and Maiokus, you are heading for retrieval. Keep radio contact with Njall and report your locations and surroundings. Figure 4 hours searching while the daylight holds."

"I am heading to the nearest village. We need to get an idea of severity of the disease. Also a little recon with the locals may simplify our search, I hope."

"Doc, what were the symptoms of the disease and do we need another inoculation?"

"We've got two Laser Transceivers and one Radio guys. Use the Lasers while you can, the locals can't listen in. Probably can't even detect it. Search team'd better have the radio - it'll work when LOS is lost. Only use it if you need to, that one can be heard, even if they can't decrypt it. Have fun."

Once everyone has left Njall seals the ship and returns to the bridge to monitor comms and sensors.

Ajit gears up with his breather mask and Laser Rifle to follow Maiokus' lead. Ajit also mans the sensors that they bring along to search for the lost ship. Hopefully they can make it through this swamp without too many incidences.

Out of Character: I am not sure if we are suiting up in our 'haz-mat' suits or not, and I am not sure if cloth armor/reflect armor can be worn together much less with such a suit. Ajit will wear whatever armor he can. I am giving a sensors roll to work with whatever sensing equipment we brought to find the ship. I don't know the environmental dice modifiers, so I'll let you adjust the roll however is needed.

In your work toward developing an alternative serum/treatment, he is able to identify an alternative to using the chemical compound but it is not one that is readily available, certainly not something that you would have on board. You would likely have to obtain the alternative compound at a starport of class C or higher on a world with at least a tech level of 9 or more.

Several hours into your study you are forced to start over, however, when you realize that the biochemical interaction in the vaccine that you are developing would ultimately be deadly to humans. You are back to 0pts toward the development of an alternative treatment.

It takes you about an hour of trudging through the swamp before you arrive at the nearest village which consists of thatch roofed huts that have been poorly constructed. As you near the outskirts of the village a woman spots you, she drops a basket that she had been carrying and runs toward the center of the village shouting something excitedly a foreign language. Moments later you see an elderly man approaching escorted by a pair of younger men armed with spears.

"Please" the elderly man says in broken Galanglic a look of anguish and anxiety on his face "You take what you want, but as we told your comrades we don't know where it is. Please do not bring further harm to my people."

You all begin your trek through the swamp and quickly become soaked from the waist down. The air is hot and humid and you find yourselves constantly swatting at large flying insects that pester you incessantly.

I will need recon rolls from each of you and one of you will need to make a Navigation roll (The others can assist if they have the skill as well).

Ajit does his best to look around for any sign of the lost ship, but has trouble concentrating with all the bugs, and is much more comfortable with utilizing machines to aid in search.

Out of Character: Ajit has no skill in Recon, so it is made at -3, but being the defacto sensors guy, I am also giving a roll on that to use any equipment we have to search for the ship (Maiokus had mentioned buying some earlier). Also would intelligence add to either of these checks (They are not added in the roll below)?
