"Copy that Silver I have some meds ready plus some water pills to make the water drinkable in canteens. I can give them a shot for common jungle/swamp illnesses." Dr Shuth prepares the items he will need and is ready to go when when Silver arrives.
In Character: Slumping down against the trunk of a tree, Gaden pulls his armor back to examine his wounds. With a sharp inhale he prods the wounds with a finger. "I've had worse shaving in the morning" he says with a forced chuckle in an attempt to alleviate concern from the rest of the time. "Nothing but a flesh wound." Tearing up strips of cloth he begins to bandage the wound as best he can in the field.
Out of Character: As I understand Gaden is trained in the Medic skill which allows for battlefield triage. The check is at a +1. Edited: Rogueleader on 2nd Nov, 2016 - 12:51pm
Ajit approaches cautiously to find a soldier clutching at a wound in his abdomen with his left hand. He sits with his back against a tree and a pistol in his right hand and as Ajit approaches the man brings the pistol up weakly and aims it in his direction but Ajit has approached in a way that he uses a tree for cover and he is approximately twenty five yards away when the soldier spots him and raises his firearm; not a very accurate range for a pistol to begin with and even less so when wounded. That being the case Ajit can be fairly confident that he is in an advantageous position.
Ajit calls out from the cover of his tree "You are already wounded and have no hope of defending yourself, if you surrender, we can treat your wounds and so long as you cooperate, no further harm will come to you." Ajit knows this is a lot of promise, but he hopes that by adding the clause about cooperating, he won't be going back on his word if they have to cause the man more harm to get information. Torture was always distasteful to Ajit, but he recognized its effectiveness on the battle field. Outside of battle, it probably wouldn't do much, but in the heat of the moment, when an enemy is first captured, it can be amazingly effective.
Out of Character: If the guy lowers his weapon, Ajit will tell him to throw it away, and then approach with his rifle trained on the guy. Ajit will then quickly evaluate his wound to see his chances of surviving, but only from his positing with his gun trained on the soldier, not up close. If the man looks like he might survive, Ajit will call out to the others that they have a live one.
In Character: : Maiokus chuckles dryly at Gaden, "I hope you didn't bleed as much shaving."
Looking over his shoulder as he hears Ajit, "Do what the man tells you," he calls to the wounded soldier, "And maybe you can survive this."
Pulliing his armor back Gaden can see that the round did indeed penetrate through his armor but it would not appear to have hit any vital organs as far as he can tell.
Out of Character: : I'm not sure which stat Gaden wants to reduce first, there would be 10pts after armor that he would need to assign to one stat (Cannot divide the points among the stats) and being that he has a 13 in endurance I'm assuming that would be the stat that he would like to take from endurance first that way he doesn't have a physical stat reduced to 0.
In Character: : Ajit sees the soldier maintain the pistol for a moment but eventually lowers it and drops it to the side. Ajit approaches with his firearm still raised and ready then kicks the pistols away and with a kurplunk the pistol sinks into the swam. Looking the soldier over Ajit can see that he has taken a good shot to the abdomen and is bleeding dark red blood, he thinks that with treatment the wound is survivable but if not treated it will be a very painful death once infection sets in. As Ajit approaches the man closes his eyes, but the slow rising and falling of his chest indicates that he is still alive.
Ajit notes that the man is bleeding, but not too fast, and calls out to the others "We got a live one. He should survive, if we get him patched up. Let's head back to the ship and regroup." He then refocuses on the man in front of him, saying "You look pretty banged up. We can patch you up, but you gotta cooperate. A little quid-pro-quo can go a long way. What's your name soldier?"
Out of Character: Assuming the man will answer his first simple question, Ajit will also ask some other innocuous questions about where he is from and how long he has served. Being an ex-Navy man himself, he tries to relate to the guy, without giving away anything about their mission or progress here. Ajit will give his name and service information, but not much more.
