Comments: I am looking for information about my great grandfather, Henry Taylor. I don't know when he was born or when he died. He is the father of Thomas Jefferson Taylor of Alabama.

In my experience when you don't have a B/D dates, you can "estimate" by starting with you.
Judging from when & where you were born and I assume (some don't) that you know when your father was born and where you can figure about 20-25 years per generation.
If you can figure out any approximate dates --I can do some checking for you. If either of them (or both) are still living then I can give you a few places to start so you do not have any privacy issues here.
