That is the only thing that deters me klar. I have been watching for a used Subaru in good shape. They handle the winter well and are good on gas.

Yes we had a subaru when I was growing up it was a nice dependable car. It just got beat to heck in the a very severe thunderstorm that bombarded out town with softball sized hail. We caught a few as they came into the house and placed them in the freezer for insurance purposes. Was the biggest I had ever seen.

I would love to get a small 3 or 4 cylinder car right now to save me money. I am currently driving a 04 intrepid with a 2.7L six. I get almost 30 with it.

Looking like the days of the trucks and SUVs are rapidly coming to close. Soon only people who really need a truck will be driving them if the trend continues.

Well if hybrid technology is so great why are they not using it to save their truck division? Because it does not work. I have a truck and will keep it likely pick up something smaller for work for my wife. If I am going fishing then we need it to haul all the gear. You try fitting a kayak a 12 foot dory and all the fishing gear in a Toyota just won't fit. Plus we use ti to get dirt and stuff all the time.

I know what you mean. I have a full sized conversion van that has been parked for the past few months because I can not afford to put gas in it. I use that for camping and going fishing. It has a hitch to it so I can pull a trailer

I am betting there are going to lots of these big truck and vans sitting around. Might be worth putting in a still in the fire place this winter and convert the truck to alcohol. Yes you can get license for that just not sure on the set up if I could do it with out stinking the whole joint up.

Put the still in your garage or in the basement if you want to produce your own ethanol. Just do not drink it all. smile.gif I am thinking of converting mine to propane. Wonder how hard that is to do?
