With 12 Democrats joining a unanimous Republican bloc, the US Senate voted Wednesday to defeat a proposed extension of unemployment benefits for workers who have been jobless for nearly two years. Ginsburg says the biggest source of undercounting comes from people who can't find a full-time job that they're qualified to do, for instance recent college graduates who take part-time jobs at fast-food joints or retail stores. I think the unemployment rate is a lot higher than the public is being told. I think the government is saying the unemployment rate is lower than it is to keep the sheeple from panicing. I know that around my area we posted a job with one opening. We had well over 400 people apply.
I know my son would love to find a better job but there just are not any around for him to appky at. So he keeps his part time job where he works less than 20 hours a week. Good thing he lives at home and has no bills.
