This is bad news for all those who are unemployed but for some reason the stocks are up way higher today. Is this a false bubble that the stocks are rising on for the weekend?

I dont think that is a issue K the stock can still rise while unemployment continues to go up I know its kinda screwed up how it works but the only thing we as people can do is hope for it to get better.

Every week we hear of more and more people being laid off. I hope that something turns around soon so that we can get back out of this hole that we are heading into with unemployment on a steady rise.

Most seems to be from big companies that help provide us with stuff we need Corning,GE,etc...what I dont understand is when will this problem be resolved and how?

I think an increase in exports is one way out. Hard part is this thing is world wide. The falling dollar does help at least in being more competitive in the global market.

How can we increase exports if we keep losing our workforce those machines and equipment cant run themselves we need people running them.

In Florida they are proposing that people who file for unemployment must be randomly drug tested to make sure they are not using it for drugs. Some are saying it is an invasion of privacy.
